Your request has been received with care and we are joining you in prayer for the heaviness and exhaustion you described.
What you are feeling is understood by the Lord, and He wants you to know His peace and strength in the midst of it. Scripture makes a distinction that is important for your situation. First there is peace with God, which comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ. When we trust in His finished work on the cross, the war between us and God is over. We are no longer running from Him or fighting against Him, and our sins are forgiven. Then there is the peace of God, that steady, guarding peace that keeps our hearts and minds even when the world around us is in turmoil. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. And Paul speaks of a peace that passes all human understanding, a peace the world cannot explain.
That second kind of peace, the peace of God in daily life, is tied to where our minds rest. The prophet Isaiah says God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. When the mind is fixed on the Lord rather than on the weight of circumstances, His peace begins to fill the heart. It is a complete and settled peace that comes from knowing He will take care of what concerns you.
There is also a reason Scripture so often says grace and peace, always in that order. We cannot experience the peace of God until we rest in the grace of God. As long as we are trying to earn His favor or carry the burden in our own strength, peace will escape us. When we rest in what Christ has already done, trusting His grace rather than our own effort, peace follows. That rest is where strength is renewed.
The heaviness and oppression you mentioned are not from the Spirit of God. It is important to recognize that. The enemy seeks to weigh down the mind and bring weariness to the point of exhaustion. God, on the other hand, is our peace. He sees beyond the present conflict to the peace He has promised, and He can give you peace even in the middle of the struggle. He is able to break the yoke of oppression and to lift what is pressing on you.
We are praying that the Lord will deliver you from that oppression, renew your mind as you keep your thoughts stayed on Him, restore His peace to your heart, and strengthen your faith. We are asking Him to show you more deeply His grace so that you can rest in His finished work, and to give you daily endurance and grace to persevere, step by step.
Father, we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You that through Jesus there is peace with You. Now pour out Your peace within, guard this heart and mind, renew strength in weakness, lift this heaviness, and break every oppression. Teach this child to keep the mind stayed on You and to rest in Your grace. Give renewed faith, quiet rest, and the endurance needed for each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our peace. Amen.
