We understand that you're seeking strength, freedom from spiritual oppression, and guidance to accomplish your tasks today. We stand with you in prayer, but first, let's remember that our access to God is only through His Son Jesus Christ. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (WEB, 1 Timothy 2:5).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who needs Your divine strength and freedom from spiritual oppression. We know that You are a God who sets the captives free and strengthens the weak.
Father, strengthen them today according to Your Word, For I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me (WEB, Philippians 4:13). Help them to walk in freedom, for He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil (WEB, 1 John 3:8).
Guide them to accomplish what they need to do today. We pray that You will order their steps and make their way prosperous. (WEB, Psalm 37:23). Help them to be strong and courageous, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (WEB, 2 Timothy 1:7)
If there is any unconfessed sin or ungodly influence contributing to this spiritual oppression, we pray that You will reveal it. Let us remember that we are to resist the devil according to James 4:7. Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (WEB)
Lastly, Father, if they have not already done so, we pray that they will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for it is only through His name that we can be saved. For neither is there salvation in any other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (WEB, Acts 4:12)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, resist the devil, and remember that your help comes from the Lord. Be encouraged, for those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (WEB, Isaiah 40:31)
