Beloved of All
i am a single man coming to ###. My income is not high. i did not have time to mix with people and i have to work long hours in order to make ends meet. Lord, i came to know that it is not your will for me to get married through fortune telling. If it is not your will for me to get married, please change my path. Lord, you are the god of the impossible and author of our life. Please rewrite my story. Please make a way where there seems to be no way. Please guide me to suitable proverbs 31 lady who is working in a medical field whom you think is suitable for me. Please give me the courage to talk and to pursue her. Please give me the discernment to know that she is the one for me. Please give her the discernment to know that i am the one for her. Lord, please help her to be compassionate towards her patients. Please help her not to get burn out in her work. Lord, i trust that you are working behind the scenes and my marriage is on the way. Thank you heavenly father , in the name of Jesus, i pray. Amen.

We join with you in prayer as a single brother seeking the Lord's will for marriage, and we hear the weight of your situation working long hours to make ends meet with little time to mix with people and feeling that your income is not high. The Lord sees your diligence and your desire for a godly marriage, and we bring your burden before Him together.

We must lovingly rebuke and correct one matter you mentioned, that you came to know it is not God's will for you to get married through fortune telling. Scripture is very clear that we are not to seek guidance from fortune tellers, diviners, mediums or sorcerers, for that is an abomination to the Lord. As it is written, There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and also Don't turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don't seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God. Leviticus 19:31. When they tell you, Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter, shouldn't a people consult with their God. Isaiah 8:19. Fortune telling does not reveal God's will, it leads away from Him. We encourage you to repent of seeking it, to turn from it completely, and to seek the Lord alone through His Word, prayer, and godly counsel in the church for direction. God speaks truthfully and lovingly through Scripture, not through divination.

We rejoice that you know the Lord is the God of the impossible and the Author of our lives and that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Your faith in calling on His name is well placed.

The desire you have for marriage is good and biblical. Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him. Genesis 2:18 and Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22. While some are called to singleness, marriage between a man and a woman is holy and honored by God, and seeking a wife through courtship with the goal of lifelong marriage to a fellow believer is right to pursue. We understand your longing for a Proverbs 31 lady who fears the Lord, and while you have a desire for someone working in the medical field, we encourage you to seek above all her character in Christ, for Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30. A wife who loves Jesus will be compassionate and faithful whether in medicine or elsewhere, and we pray the Lord guides you to the one He has for you if it is His will for you to marry.

We also want to encourage you that your income and long hours do not disqualify you from the favor of God or from marriage. The Lord honors honest work and He promises to provide. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 and My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We encourage you even in a busy season to seek fellowship in a local Bible believing church where you can be known, serve, and be seen by others, for that is often where the Lord brings a godly spouse into our lives. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We join our faith with yours that God can rewrite your story and make a way where there seems to be no way. With God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 and Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it springs forth. Don't you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our brother to You. Lord, we thank You that You see his work, his weariness, his low income and his loneliness, and that You know his desire for a godly marriage. Father, we confess and repent on his behalf for seeking fortune telling and we ask You to cleanse him and turn his heart fully to Your Word for guidance. Forgive him and lead him away from all divination. Lord, if it is Your will for him to marry, we ask You to change his path and open doors no man can shut. You are the Author of life, please rewrite his story according to Your perfect will and make a way where there seems to be no way. Guide him to a Proverbs 31 woman who fears You, and if it pleases You, one who serves in the medical field with compassion for her patients. Give him courage to speak and to pursue her in purity and honor as courtship unto marriage, and give them both clear discernment to know if they are the one for each other. Protect the woman You have for him, keep her from burnout, renew her strength, and help her to be compassionate and sustained in her work. Help our brother to trust that You are working behind the scenes and to seek You first above all. Provide for his needs, give him rest, and plant him in fellowship where he can grow and be known. We trust Your timing and Your goodness. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We appreciated you sharing so openly with us. Carrying long work hours on a modest income while holding a deep desire for marriage can be exhausting and isolating, and we hear your sincere desire to follow the Lord with your life and your future family.

We noticed you mentioned a word from fortune telling that left you wondering about God's will. It is good you brought that question directly to Him. He is the author of your story, and we trust He hears you as you ask Him to lead and to make a way where you see none.

When time to meet people is so limited, it can help to have one trusted person walking with you. If you have a pastor or an older, married believer you respect, consider inviting him to pray with you regularly about this desire, to know you and to offer steady, godly counsel as you seek wisdom and courage to take next steps. That kind of friendship can also slowly open up community even with a demanding schedule.

We are holding you in prayer, and we are asking God to give you rest and encouragement in your work as you keep seeking Him.

Father, we lift our brother to You. Give him peace as he trusts You with his future, strength for his daily work, and clear discernment as he seeks Your will. If it is Your will for him to marry, guide him to the wife You have for him and give them both wisdom to recognize Your leading. Sustain any medical workers he is praying for with compassion and endurance. Lead him step by step, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and heard with much sympathy and hope. We thank God that you bring this desire to Him, for marriage is His own ordination, a sacred and honourable estate wherein a man and a woman become one flesh for life, and wherein Christ sets forth His love to His Church. The longing for a godly wife, a true Proverbs 31 woman, is not to be despised but to be brought humbly before the throne of grace.

You speak of having learned through fortune telling that it is not the will of God for you to marry. Turn altogether from that path. The Lord does not reveal His will by such means. Those arts are forbidden and deceitful, and they cannot speak for the God of truth. His will is made known in His Word and by His providence, and His counsel stands. If you have looked to such things, confess it to Him and forsake it, and seek His face in the Scriptures with the definite object of finding Christ, for there He is to be found. Though He slay our own plans, yet will we trust in Him, and that trust is nobler than any curious searching into what is hidden.

We understand your burden. Your income is not high, your hours are long, and you have had little time to mix with others. The Lord sees your labour and your quiet endurance to make ends meet. He is the God of the impossible, the Author of life, who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and He is able to guide your steps even when the field seems narrow and the way is through the woods where you would not have expected it. Commit your way unto Him, be diligent in your calling, and yet seek such fellowship with His people as your strength allows, for often the Lord uses a godly family, a faithful ministry, and the reading of the Word under the Holy Spirit to bring to pass His purposes.

We will pray with you as you have asked, and we pray according to the will of God revealed in Scripture.

We ask the Lord, if it be His good will to give you marriage, to rewrite your story according to His mercy and not according to fear, to open the door that no man can shut, and to guide you to a woman who loves the Lord Jesus Christ above all, who knows salvation through Him alone, and who serves Him faithfully, whether in the medical field or elsewhere as He appoints. We ask that He would give you courage tempered with purity and wisdom to speak and to pursue in a manner worthy of Christ, keeping yourself from all that belongs only within the covenant of marriage, and that He would give you both clear discernment to know whether you are indeed to walk together before Him. We ask that He would keep her heart with compassion toward those in her care and preserve her from being worn down and burned out, granting her strength and tenderness as she labours for others.

Above all we pray that you may be found in Christ and may find Christ more and more, for to be married to Christ is the first and best marriage, and all other mercies flow from being wholly His. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust that He who is the great Shepherd seeks and finds His own and will not cease until His work is done.

We join our faith with yours that the Lord is working behind the scenes, and we leave your marriage, your work, and your whole life in His wise and loving hands, praying in the name of Jesus our only Saviour. Amen.
