Prayer for sleep

We join with you in asking our Heavenly Father for relief from your pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we are thankful you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We know how wearying pain can be and how it can rob the night of rest, but we are reminded in Scripture that sleep is a gift from God to His beloved. For he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. We also cling to the promise, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me dwell in safety Psalm 4:8. When burdens and pain weigh heavy, Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We take comfort that our God is both our healer and our peace. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He has promised, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. He also guards our hearts and minds when we bring our anxieties to Him, for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain that afflicts their body and the weariness that comes from broken sleep. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon them and grant relief according to Your perfect will. Ease their discomfort, calm their mind, and quiet every anxious thought. Grant them deep, uninterrupted, restorative sleep tonight and in the nights to come. Let them lie down in peace and wake refreshed, restored and strengthened for the day You have made. Help them to cast all their worries on You because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7 and to trust that You are watching over them through the night. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our rest, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your needs to Him each evening, to cast your cares upon Him before you lie down, and to rest in His unfailing love. May the Lord keep you in perfect peace as your mind stays on Him Isaiah 26:3.

We have heard your request for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.
Sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and compose our bodies and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. The Scripture says, so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian may enjoy, for the Lord Himself watches over His own. When pain keeps the body weary and the night feels long, we remember that our Saviour was quick to spy out those in pain and His hands were always stretched out for their relief, for He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed.
We pray for you now.
Our Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son that Thou wouldst look upon Thy child in pain and grant relief according to Thy mercy. Ease the body that is weary, calm the throbbing brain, and quiet the anxious thoughts that disturb the night. Give what Thou alone canst give, peaceful and restorative sleep, that strength may be recruited and the frame refreshed for fresh service. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
