Your request for safe and secure housing for your family has been heard and brought before the Lord in prayer. I understand the weight you are carrying as you wait for an answer on this rental application and face the fear of homelessness. God sees your need for shelter and He cares for you and your family.
I am praying that the Lord will provide for you according to His wisdom and love, and that He will open the door that is best for you. If this house is His provision, that He will remove what needs to be removed and grant favor in the approval process. Above all I am praying that you will know His peace while you wait, trusting His care for every practical need.
Scripture reminds us that the deepest safety we can ever know is not found in a building, an approval, or a secure location. The only truly safe place is in Christ. To be in Him is to be held and kept by Him, even through the time of trial that is coming upon the whole world. There will be no safe place on earth apart from Him, and no investment or plan can make us secure in ourselves. The Lord has provided the one escape, and that is to be found in Jesus before that day comes.
That is why the psalmist prayed, hold me up and I shall be safe, and why we are told that underneath are the everlasting arms. When God is holding you up, you are safe. His arms do not fail. To put your trust in the Lord is to be safe from the snare of the enemy, from his power, and from the consequences of sin. Many look to those in authority for favor, and it is right to ask for help through proper means, but our ultimate trust is not in a landlord or an application. It is in the Lord who is able to provide housing and work and daily bread as He has so faithfully done for others.
May you rest in that trust today. May you know that if you are in Christ, you are held up by His everlasting arms, and He will keep you. I pray He will supply a safe home for your family in His perfect timing and will let you see His faithful hand in this need, and that your hearts will remain anchored in Jesus who is our true and lasting security.
