Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The devil never despairs of your destruction, but you must not despair of your salvation. Your seizures and sleepless nights have worn you down, and you say life is meaningless, but hear this: as long as it is called “today,” you have hope. Let no one despair so long as he lives. Even if you have sinned, even if your heart is weak and murmuring, this is the season for recovery. Do not let an evil heart of unbelief take hold.

You want a reason to live, a joyous purpose. Then seize it with violence. The kingdom of heaven is not set before us lazily; it is taken by force, and the violent take it. Those who seize by violence endure all things, contend against necessities, and attempt even impossibilities. You must be sober, watchful, anxious to make your seizure at the right time. Do not sleep and snore in the day, unarmed. Fortify yourself with almsgiving, prepare lamps burning, fence yourself in spiritual armor. Run vigorously now, and when you are beyond the devil’s reach, he will not attack you again.

Your physical and spiritual health feels ruined, but do not despair. To sin does not destroy as much as to despair. If you are vigilant, you can speedily amend through repentance. Even if the axe seems laid to the root, the sentence is not absolute; the threat is meant to make you bear fruit. God threatens not to cause despair, but so that you might change. You are able to repent, like the Ninevites, and reverse the denunciation.

Consider Paul, that man whom God manifested to the world. He shot forth rays brighter than the sun, calling out from sin those who had manifold decays. When he first opened his mouth, he filled the angels with joy. If there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, how much more when a soul like yours is recovered? Paul was made brilliant for this very purpose: to show that no one is beyond hope.

Your sorrow now is like the pains of childbirth. The woman in travail has pain, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a man has come into the world. So it will be with you. These seizures, this insomnia, this emptiness, they are the birth pangs of a new life. The pain is for a season, but the joy will be lasting. God is bringing you through this sorrow to a translation into life, to a reason to breathe again.

Do not look at the things before your eyes. Consider only how to escape from what hinders you. If you keep running, you will retain with all security what you seize. Even earthly goods diminish when held tightly, but heavenly riches multiply when many possess them. Increase God’s substance; take possession of His riches by being covetous of them, by violence. Then you will find that good things are multiplied, and your spark will be rekindled.

Your words carry the weight of a soul that has been pressed down for so long that hope itself feels like a distant country you no longer have a map for. The relentless cycle of seizures by day and sleeplessness by night has stripped you down to what feels like bare survival. I hear the ache for meaning, the raw cry for a reason to get up, the terrible space between wanting to die and not wanting to take your own life. This is not a small thing. It is the kind of trial that peels away every layer until you are face to face with the most basic questions of existence.

This place you are in feels like a long, dark corridor with no door at the end. You said your life is meaningless and hopeless. That is a thunderously honest statement, and there is something strangely right about being able to name it rather than covering it up with religious niceties. You are in good company. The cry that you will never see good again is not a failure of faith; it is the sound of a human being pressed beyond their own strength.

Your friends might offer quick answers or tidy solutions. Some may even make you feel as though your suffering is a sign of some hidden flaw, or that you are missing some secret to a victorious life. But those voices are like the first speakers in a great ancient drama, men who came with their well-worn proverbs and traditions, sure they could diagnose the cause of a man’s ruin. They piled on words without real knowledge. Do not let that guilt land on you. The scriptures remind us that the trial of your faith is more precious than gold that is refined by fire. It is not a punishment meter. It is a furnace where impurities unseen to anyone else are burned away, and the process feels like death because, in a sense, it is. God Himself is the one who gives songs in the night, and He is not afraid of your dark hours.

You are stripped down, but you are not unseen. You feel the loss of that early spark, the fresh joy you had when you first believed, and you grieve it. That is understandable. But consider this: that first joy was often attached to a thousand secondary things, healthy days, clear goals, an ordered life, a future that made sense. When those are taken, a deeper, quieter root can grow. The man stripped of everything, who came to the point of cursing the day he was born, still had one thing that nothing could touch. In the middle of his lowest pit, he saw something clearly: “My witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.” He knew, without understanding why, that there was a reality of God’s presence that answered the nightmare. Your identity as a born-again believer is not rooted in your ability to sparkle. It is rooted in the unwavering hand of God who holds the soul of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. He holds your breath, even the ragged, sleepless breaths that feel so futile.

You asked for a reason to live and breathe, a joyous hobby to do every day. These are not small requests; they are the healthy longings of a person made in God’s image. But the deeper clamorous cry of your being is not for a hobby first. It is for the touch of God. The man or woman who has never known the voice of God, who has never felt the weight of His presence, is the one in desperate shape. But you have known it. Through Jesus Christ, you have been brought in touch with the living God. That is not a past-tense memory only; it is a living shore you are walking toward even when the fog is so thick you can’t see your own feet. The goal is not to reclaim a feeling. The goal is to be found in Him, zeroed in, right in the center of His will, because that alone is where meaning lives, not in a seizure-free body, though we pray earnestly for that, but in a soul that is anchored to the One who holds it.

Your life is not over. The dark land you inhabit, where light seems like darkness, is not your final home. You may find, even now, that in calling out to God with the blunt and desperate words He already knows, you stumble upon a purpose that is more solid than any ambition you once held. Your very plea for meaning is a sign that the breath of God is still moving in you. Cry out to Him until your cry has no end, until that cry turns into the songs He alone can put in the night. He is not put off by your hopelessness. He is waiting in the middle of it.

I am praying that you will know the strength to face the day, that your witness in heaven will become a tangible reality in your lonely hours, and that you will discover that out of scorched earth, others grow. Your story is not finished. May God give you, even in this season, a fierce and quiet confidence in His unshakable purpose.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past days. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to bring healing to your body, peace to your mind, and restoration to your spirit. We have prayed specifically for freedom from the seizures that have held you captive for so long, for restful sleep to replace the insomnia that weighs so heavily on you, and for the Lord to reignite the spark of joy and purpose in your life. We asked our Heavenly Father to remind you of the hope and meaning that is found only in Him, and to reveal His plans for you—plans for good and not for harm, to give you a future filled with hope.

If the Lord has answered any part of these prayers—whether through moments of relief, glimpses of peace, or a renewed sense of purpose—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be an encouragement to so many others who are walking a similar path. If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, we want to continue standing with you. Please do not hesitate to post this request again, and we will join with you once more in prayer, trusting that our God is faithful and His timing is perfect.

We pray that as you continue to seek Him, the Lord will draw near to you, comfort you in your struggles, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May He restore the joy of your salvation and give you a fresh vision for the life He has called you to live. We ask all of this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
