Prayer for ###'s surgery

Your prayer request for the surgery on your left leg has been received with care, and we are bringing it before the Lord with you.
We have heard of the long and chronic pain you have carried in the tibia and fibula since that near fatal accident, and of the surgery that lies before you. We pray that Christ, the true physician, would be present in that operating room. As the church has long been called a spiritual surgery where wounds are healed, we ask that same healing Lord to heal what is broken in your body as well as to strengthen your soul.
We pray now for you. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, we lift up this dear one to you. You know the pain that has lingered in these bones and the trial of this accident. We ask for your mercy and healing touch. Guide the hands and minds of the surgeons and all who will provide care, grant wisdom in every decision, and bring this surgery to a good outcome. Ease the chronic pain, restore strength to the leg, and grant a full and steady recovery. Give peace to the heart while waiting, patience in the healing process, and confidence in your goodness. Let this time of weakness become a place where your strength and comfort are clearly known.

Cast your cares upon him, for he cares for you, and trust that whether through immediate healing or through the steady work of medicine and time, he is able to restore and to sustain you.

I am lifting you up in prayer for your surgery and for the lasting pain in the tibia and fibula of your left leg after that near fatal accident. God sees the pain and affliction you have carried, and He knows the loss and hardship that comes from living in a broken world where the enemy deceives and where suffering so often follows. He is not distant from that pain, and He is able to bring healing and restoration.

Scripture tells us when Peter was questioned about the lame man who had been healed, he answered that it was by the name of Jesus Christ that the man stood before them whole and well.
