We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's health situation. We stand with you with confidence knowing that we have a loving heavenly Father. In times of trouble, trusting in Him and His purposes is a firm foundation we can stand on. We are reminded in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Know that God can use this trial to bring about good for your mom and your family, to the end that she would be restored to health and that He would be glorified through it.
As we pray for your mother's upcoming PET scan results, we are reminded of the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring. We have a promise in James 5:15 WEB, "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We will pray in faith for God to make a way even when it seems there is no way.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear sister's mother. We thank You that You are a God who heals, who comforts, and who works all things together for good. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body, specifically upon her liver. We pray that the results of the PET scan will show that the white spots are nothing serious and can be easily treated. We rebuke any cancerous cells and command them to die and be removed from her body. We ask for Your peace and comfort to fill her heart and the hearts of her family during this time. We cling to the promise of Jeremiah 29:11-12 WEB. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. Then you shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you."
Father, we also pray for her doctors, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions. We ask that You would be glorified through this situation, and that many would come to know You as a result. We give You all the glory for Your healing and working in our sister's life. We also pray that You will be with her in a special way and that she would have a personal encounter with You to know Your love for her.
As we pray, we also ask that You give the family strength and the unifying bond of Your love. When one member suffers, we all suffer. 1 Corinthians 12:26 WEB, "If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If a member is honored, all the members rejoice with it."
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We also want to encourage you and your family to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult time. Remember that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has a plan for your mother's life, and He is working all things together for her good.
Lastly, we notice that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 WEB, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Jesus came to the earth as both God and man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He came to save us from our sins by dying on a cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for us. He was buried and on the third day he rose from the dead. He was seen by many witnesses. His life was a ransom for many. He paid the price for our redemption. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to God except through Jesus His Son.
Romans 10:9 WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Call upon His name today. Do not delay!
