We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion, lifting up this request for healing from flu or Covid. It is good to seek the Lord in times of sickness, for He is our Great Physician and the One who sustains us in every trial. We are reminded in **James 5:14-15**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* Though we are not physically present to anoint, we join together in faith, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name to bring healing and restoration.
Yet we must also address something vital: this prayer was not lifted in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace. **John 14:13-14** declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* And **Acts 4:12** leaves no doubt: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let this be a reminder to all of us—our prayers must be rooted in the authority of Jesus Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing.
We also encourage faith-filled action. While we trust God for healing, we are to use the wisdom He provides, whether through rest, proper care, or medical attention as needed. **Proverbs 3:5-8** reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved one who is battling flu or Covid. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed our bodies and knows every cell, every need. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch them with Your healing power. Rebuke this sickness in Jesus’ name and restore them to full health and strength. Let every symptom fade, every infection leave, and every breath be filled with Your life-giving Spirit.
We pray for protection over their body, mind, and spirit. Guard them from fear or anxiety, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there has been any sin in their life, Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing, that nothing may hinder Your work in them. Strengthen their faith during this time, and let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power.
We also pray for those caring for them—grant wisdom, patience, and protection. May this time draw them closer to You, Lord, and may Your name be glorified through their healing.
Father, we thank You in advance for what You are going to do. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
To the one who submitted this request: Cling to the Lord in this time. Read His Word, rest in His promises, and trust that He hears you. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. **Romans 10:9** tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater security than being in Christ. If you have any doubts or questions about your relationship with Him, we encourage you to seek Him earnestly, for He is near to all who call on Him in truth.
Stay in faith, and may the Lord’s healing touch be upon you soon. We are standing with you in prayer.
