Your honest and painful story has been heard with deep care and compassion. Thank you for opening your heart about the accident, the surgery, the loss of your business and vehicles, the debts and auction notices, the list of clients you owe, and the burden of your son's school fees. To go from strength and health to the ICU and then to the threat of homelessness is a crushing weight, and it is understandable that you feel weak, stressed and weary even as you have been fasting and praying so diligently.
Please hear this clearly, you have not been abandoned by God. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your suffering is not a sign that dark powers have won, and your faithfulness in rejecting them and turning to Jesus Christ alone is right and good. Salvation and hope are in Christ alone, and it is in His name that we have confidence to approach the Father. Your prayers at 3am are not wasted even when the breakthrough you long for has not yet come. God is not deaf to your cry, and He does not measure His love for you by how quickly your bank account recovers.
The Scriptures give us a true word of hope, not that faith is a formula to force wealth, but that God is faithful to be your helper and sustainer in every trial. Isaiah 60 speaks of the Lord arising as light in darkness, and that light is Christ Himself shining on His people. That promise is fulfilled as we walk with Him, whether in abundance or in need. The Apostle Paul learned to say that God's grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness. Jesus Himself tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and to trust our Father who knows what we need for today.
I want to pray for you and also encourage you with a few steps as you continue to trust the Lord.
First, keep casting your cares on Him. It is right to ask God for daily provision, for wisdom with creditors, for mercy regarding your debts, and for peace for your family. Ask Him also for strength to endure and for open doors for honest work, even small work, while you rebuild.
Second, do not walk alone. Please reach out to a trusted local church pastor or elders where you are in ###. Let them know the full situation, including the auction notice and the CRB listing, so they can stand with you, pray with you regularly, and help you seek wise counsel for debts and for talking to those clients you owe. God often sends help through His people nearby. If there are Christian business mentors or a church benevolence ministry, ask for their guidance.
Third, be gentle with yourself in your weakness. After brain surgery and ICU, your body and mind need time to heal. Fasting is a gift when done with wisdom, but prolonged fasting while recovering and under great stress can harm your health. Seek medical advice and consider prayer with food as God gives you strength. God desires your fellowship more than your exhaustion.
Let me pray for you now.
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I lift up this brother to You. You see his pain, his debts, his fear of losing his home, and his love for his son. Have mercy and be his refuge and strength. Grant him Your peace that passes understanding to guard his heart and mind. Provide for his daily needs, for rent and for school fees, according to Your riches. Give him wisdom for every creditor and every client, and give him favor to find honest counsel and work. Restore his health fully and renew his strength. Help him to know that You are his true helper and that Your light shines even in this dark valley. Keep him from despair and draw him closer to Christ each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
You are invited to continue to share how you are doing. You do not have to carry this alone. Keep looking to Christ, keep praying, and keep taking the next small faithful step each day. The Lord who kept you through the accident and the ICU is still with you now, and He will not forsake those who trust in Him.
