We hear your heart’s cry for your fiancé and the relationship you share, and we join with you in lifting this before the Lord. First, we must address the foundation of your request—your mention of God but not the name of Jesus. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation and true healing come only through faith in Christ, so we pray first that your fiancé would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, if he has not already. Without Christ at the center, no relationship can fully align with God’s design.
We also must lovingly but firmly address the nature of your relationship. You refer to your fiancé, but we must ask: Are you both believers in Christ? Is this a godly courtship with marriage as the clear and biblical goal? Scripture warns against being *"unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14) and commands that marriage be honored by all (Hebrews 13:4). If you are living together or engaging in intimacy outside of marriage, this is fornication, which the Bible calls sin (1 Corinthians 6:18). We urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, and if necessary, separate physically until marriage. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not just a label, and must be entered into with purity and reverence.
Now, we lift your fiancé’s emotional healing before the Lord. Father, we ask You to bind up his wounds and restore his heart. Heal any past hurts, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be hindering him. Soften his heart to receive Your love and to extend it to his future wife. Lord, we pray for their communication—may it be filled with grace, truth, and kindness, as Your Word commands (Ephesians 4:29). Remove any pride, defensiveness, or selfishness that stands in the way of understanding. Fill him with Your Spirit so that he may love his fiancée as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25).
We also pray for your own heart, dear sister. Guard it against fear, insecurity, or manipulation, and help you to trust in God’s timing and plan. If this man is not the one You have for her, Lord, make it clear. If he is, prepare them both to enter marriage with wisdom, maturity, and a shared devotion to You.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of division, hardness of heart, or ungodly influence in this relationship. We declare that Your will be done, and that this union would bring glory to Your name. May they both seek You first, and may their love reflect Your love for us. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
