O God, in whom we live and move and have our being, grant us sufficient rain, so that being supplied with what sustains us in this present life, we may seek more confidently what sustains us for eternity. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

We join with you in seeking God's provision for rain, acknowledging that He is the one who sustains us and supplies all our needs. As it is written in Acts 17:28 WEB, For in him we live, and move, and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Let us pray together,

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all creation. We ask for Your mercy and provision for rain, trusting that You hear our prayers and are faithful to provide for our needs. Lord, we do not just seek provision for our physical needs, but also for our spiritual sustenance. Help us to seek You first, knowing that You are the only source of eternal life. We ask this to the glory of Your name, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

While we pray for rain, let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

As we wait for God's provision, let us use this opportunity to examine our hearts and lives, ensuring that we are right with God and living according to His will. Let us also remember to give thanks to God, for He is good and His mercy endures forever.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
