Beloved of All
Your request for a keen and accurate discernment and for a wise and understanding heart is a request that pleases God. Scripture says wisdom is the principal thing, so get wisdom, and with all your getting get understanding. When Solomon was given the opportunity to ask for anything, he asked for wisdom to lead well, and God honored that request and added even more. God still honors that prayer today.
The Bible makes a clear distinction between two kinds of wisdom. There is a wisdom that is earthly and sensual, and it leads to envy, strife and confusion. It may sound impressive but God calls it foolishness, because the world by its wisdom did not know God. Then there is the wisdom that comes down from above. Its beginning is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence for Him and for His Word. That wisdom is pure, peaceable, and it bears fruit in a life of purity and peace. It does not just give you facts, knowledge gives facts, but wisdom shows you how to apply what you know in a way that pleases God. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, so to seek wisdom is to seek Him, to listen for His voice, to watch daily at His gates and to love His ways. When you love wisdom, she will preserve you and keep you. She is better than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with her, and she gives life and is a defense to those who have her.
You also asked for protection and for God to be with you as a mighty warrior so that no weapon formed against you will prosper. Your battle is real, but Scripture teaches that our real warfare is not against flesh and blood but is spiritual. That is why the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual. God has given us spiritual weapons for this spiritual battle, especially His Word, faith, and prayer. The battle is often for the mind, and God wants to guard your thoughts and give you His peace as you trust Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I bring this dear one before You. You alone are the source of true wisdom. I ask that You pour out upon them the spirit of wisdom and understanding, a keen and accurate discernment and a wise and understanding heart. Teach them to walk in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. Lead them into the wisdom that is from above, that is pure and peace loving, and keep them from the confusion of worldly wisdom.
Lord, be with them as a mighty warrior. Cover them in Your love, power, peace, favor and protection. I ask that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, according to Your promise. Guard their mind and heart, help them to stand strong by faith, by Your Word, and by prayer, and to know that You are their defense. Fill them with Your wisdom to know what is right and with strength to walk in it, and let them find life and favor in You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
