We lift up your grandson to the Lord, our Great Physician, who sees his suffering and knows his needs even before we ask. The flu has left him weak, and we stand in the gap, declaring healing over his body in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over your grandson, believing that God is able to restore his strength and bring comfort to his body.
We also pray for your son and his wife, that they would be granted wisdom and endurance as they care for their child. The burden of parenting a sick child is heavy, and we ask that God would sustain them with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May your son be able to work from home without added stress, and may his employer show grace and flexibility during this time. We declare that God will provide for their every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and infirmity in Jesus’ name. We command every virus and symptom to leave your grandson’s body and for his immune system to be strengthened. Surround this family with Your angels for protection, and let Your presence be a tangible comfort to them. We pray for encouragement to fill their hearts, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face more fervently and trust in Your goodness. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
