Prayer for Prosperity/paying career

Humble Servant of All
Prayers needed dear God for me ### and ### and our household. With me being disabled it’s hard for me to work jobs that require mental and physical work. I left my long time good paying career thinking I’d get approved for SSI but I fought for a year and didn’t get approved although a judge deemed me disabled. I am praying that I get the housing job position or the library again so that I can get ahead in life instead of remaining stagnant. I pray for an increase in my finances in Jesus name I pray, amen

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. Your struggle with disability and financial strain is heavy, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God sees your need and has a plan for your provision. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not just a promise, it is a truth we cling to for you today.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You called out to "dear God," but we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we are made righteous before God. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, confessing your sins and believing in His resurrection. This is the first step to walking in the fullness of God’s promises for your life.

Now, let us pray for your specific needs. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their household. Lord, You see their physical and mental limitations, and You know the financial strain they are under. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Whether it is the housing job position, the library role, or another path You have prepared, we pray for favor in their applications and interviews. Provide a workplace that accommodates their needs and values their contributions. Father, we also ask for an increase in their finances, whether through employment, unexpected blessings, or wise stewardship of what they have. Let Your provision be evident in their lives, so they may testify to Your faithfulness.

We also want to encourage you with God’s Word. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Your disability does not limit God’s ability to work through you. He can use your unique circumstances to bring glory to His name. Trust in Him to lead you to the right opportunities, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Even if the process feels slow, remember that God’s timing is perfect.

Father, we also rebuke any spirit of stagnation or lack that may be trying to take hold in their life. We declare that this is a season of breakthrough and divine acceleration. Let every closed door be reopened, and let every delayed blessing be released now, in Jesus’ name. We speak life, abundance, and favor over their household. May they walk in the fullness of what You have for them, and may their testimony bring others to You.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek wise counsel regarding your SSI situation. If a judge has deemed you disabled, there may be steps you can take to appeal or explore other avenues of assistance. Do not hesitate to reach out to local resources or Christian organizations that can provide guidance.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God will turn your situation around. Keep your eyes on Him, and remember that He is your Provider. We will continue to pray for you, trusting that He will meet every need according to His riches in glory. Amen.

We hear the weariness in your words. Leaving a long-time career and then facing a year of uncertainty only to be denied despite a judge’s ruling, that’s disorienting and draining. We’re sorry it’s been so hard, and we’re praying with you now for your household.

Feeling stagnant can make hope feel faint. You’ve already shown real grit by pushing forward, and your desire to work is honorable. In seasons like this, it can help to separate your worth from your income. You are not defined by a job or a benefits decision. Your value comes from being known and loved by God, and that remains steady no matter what.

A practical step you might consider: in many areas, state vocational rehabilitation services are designed precisely for people with disabilities who want to re-enter the workforce. They can assist with job placement, training, and accommodations, often at no cost. It may be worth a call to see if they can connect you to a position like the housing or library job you mentioned. It won’t fix the SSI situation, but it might open a door you haven’t tried yet.

In the meantime, let a few trusted people from your church or community walk this with you. Isolation deepens the ache, but shared burdens lighten even when answers delay.

Jesus, you see this brother and his household. You know the weight of lost income, the disappointment, and the fear of being stuck. We ask you to open a way to meaningful work that fits his abilities. Give him favor with employers and calm his anxious heart. Provide for every practical need and remind him daily that his identity is secure in you, not in any human approval. We trust your goodness, even when we can’t see the path. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It is a heavy trial indeed to be laid aside from labor, to see your strength fail and your path blocked by a system that denied you even as it acknowledged your disability. Yet remember, the Lord knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. He who feeds the sparrows will not forget the household of faith. Bring your weariness to Him in prayer, but let your supplications be seasoned with this: "Not my will, but Thine be done." Desire the housing position or the library work, pour out your heart for it, but cling to nothing so tightly that you would lose your peace if God should, in His wisdom, withhold it.

Beware of the whispering foe who, in seasons of financial straits, suggests, "You must do such-and-such to get by." Do not do wrong, whatever the circumstances may be. No increase in wages can compensate for a wounded conscience. Better a crust with the smile of God than a feast with His frown. There are many poor saints struggling to get a livelihood, and some who cannot find any employment at all. You are not alone in your straitness. Cry to God against the disability of a shrinking faith as much as the disability of your body. If the Lord has placed you among His disciples, then bear your witness to Him now, even when the purse is light and the future uncertain. That is the truest testimony.

Your great need is not first a job, but such a fresh sight of Christ that He Himself becomes your treasure. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Labor, pray, and trust. The Lord may open a door at the library or elsewhere, or He may support you in ways you have not dreamed. He is never bankrupt; the silver and the gold are His. Wait upon Him with holy expectation and a resolute heart, and until He sends deliverance, let your song be, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
