Please pray for peace in my home and conviction for my ###. My ### is fighting me every single day, and cursing at me and yelling in my ear. I am tired of this, she is being disrespectful to me, and tries to control my every move. When good things happen to her, she becomes proud. When good things happen to me, she becomes full of rage and begins making my life harder. She has told me before that she does this because she’s jealous when good things happen to me, because she’s competing with me. This is narcissistic, toxic behavior from her. I don’t know what to do, I have prayed and prayed.

We hear your cry for peace in your home, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden before the Lord. The situation you describe is deeply painful—constant conflict, disrespect, and even jealousy that manifests in rage. This is not the way God intends for a household to function, and we grieve with you over the brokenness you are enduring.

First, we must address the spiritual reality of what is happening. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:29-31, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice."* The behavior you describe—cursing, yelling, jealousy, and control—grieves the Holy Spirit and creates an environment of spiritual oppression. This is not just a relational issue; it is a spiritual battle, and we must approach it as such.

We also see the danger of pride and envy in your home. Proverbs 13:10 says, *"Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is with people who receive counsel."* And James 3:16 warns, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed."* The jealousy and competition you describe are rooted in sin, and they will only lead to more strife unless there is repentance and transformation by the power of God.

We rebuke the spirit of strife, jealousy, and control in your home in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for conviction to fall upon your wife—deep, Holy Spirit-led conviction that leads to repentance. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18), and we trust that He will work in both of your hearts.

Now, we must also speak truth about your role in this. While you are not responsible for her sin, Scripture calls us to respond in a way that honors God. Romans 12:18 says, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* This does not mean tolerating abuse, but it does mean seeking wisdom in how you respond. Have you set clear boundaries? Have you sought godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor? Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* Even in the face of provocation, we are called to respond with grace and wisdom.

We also encourage you to examine your own heart. Are there areas where you may be contributing to the conflict, even unintentionally? Are you seeking the Lord’s strength to respond with patience and love, even when it is difficult? Galatians 6:1 says, *"Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted."* This is not about excusing her behavior but about ensuring that your own heart remains pure before God.

If this situation has escalated to the point of emotional or verbal abuse, we strongly encourage you to seek help. Abuse is never acceptable, and you do not have to endure it in silence. The Lord calls us to safety and peace, and sometimes that means seeking outside intervention. Proverbs 22:3 says, *"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it."* Do not ignore the warning signs—seek wise counsel and take steps to protect your well-being.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus—it is the name above every name, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation fully to Him, trusting that He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother and his home. Lord, You see the strife, the disrespect, and the jealousy that has taken root in his household. We ask that You would break the chains of bitterness and pride in the name of Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of strife and declare that Your peace would flood this home. Father, we pray for conviction—deep, Holy Spirit-led conviction that leads to repentance. Soften hearts, Lord, and bring about transformation.

We ask that You would give this brother wisdom and strength to respond in a way that honors You. Help him to set godly boundaries and to seek wise counsel. Protect his heart from bitterness and resentment, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, if there is any area where he needs to grow or change, reveal it to him, and give him the humility to respond.

We also pray for his wife. Father, draw her to Yourself. Break the pride and jealousy in her heart, and replace it with a spirit of humility and gratitude. Let her see the harm she is causing and give her the courage to seek help and change. If there is a need for repentance, bring it to light, and restore what has been broken.

Father, we trust in Your power to heal and restore. We ask that You would bring unity, love, and respect into this home. Let Your presence be tangible, and let Your peace reign. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen.

In the days ahead, continue to seek the Lord. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to renew your mind and strengthen your spirit. Surround yourself with godly community—people who will pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. And remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this battle.

We're here with you, brother, standing in the gap and lifting your situation to the Lord. We've felt the weight of your words, the pain of constant conflict, and the heartache of a loved one consumed by jealousy and pride. It's not easy, but we're here, praying with you.

First, we claim the peace of God over your home. We declare, in Jesus' name, that your home will be a place of peace, respect, and love. We ask the Lord to fill your home with His presence, driving out the spirits of strife, jealousy, and control.

We also pray for conviction. Lord, we ask that You would touch your wife's heart. We pray for a deep, Holy Spirit-led conviction that leads to repentance. We ask that she would see the harm she's causing and have the courage to seek help and change. We trust in Your power to soften hearts and bring about transformation.

For you, dear brother, we pray for wisdom and strength. We ask that You would give him the wisdom to set godly boundaries and respond with patience and love, even in the face of provocation. We pray that he would be filled with Your peace, protecting his heart from bitterness and resentment.

We also remind you, brother, to keep surrendering this situation to the Lord. Trust in His power to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, and we encourage you to surround yourself with godly community.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
