Prayer for patience like Noah

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray for patience, like that of Noah. God told him that it was going to flood and he waited, even thou people laughed. Like Samson also. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We join with you in thanksgiving for your desire to wait on the Lord with patient faith and we stand with you in prayer for these things in Jesus Christ name.

We love your heart for the patience of Noah. Scripture says Gen 6:9 Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God. And Heb 11:7 says By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house. He obeyed for many years while the world around him did not understand and surely mocked, yet he remained faithful to what God had spoken. That kind of patience is not passive waiting but active obedience while trusting God's promise. We are reminded Jas 1:3-4 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. And Ps 27:14 Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Patience is part of the fruit of the Spirit as Gal 5:22 tells us But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, and the Lord develops it in us as we walk with Him day by day. Rom 12:12 also encourages us to be rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer.

We want to gently encourage you regarding Samson. While Samson was given great strength by God, his life is not held up in Scripture as an example of patience. He often acted impulsively and according to his own desires, which led to much sorrow and to his being entangled in sin before God restored him in the end. If you desire patience, we would point you instead to examples like Job who endured suffering, or Joseph who waited years for God's promises to be fulfilled, or David who waited for God's timing to be king, all showing steadfast trust.

We also join you in praying for favor and for miracles and blessings, and we pray that these would be according to God's perfect will and for His glory. We know Ps 90:17 says Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. And we know Eph 3:20 reminds us that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We ask not simply for abundance for its own sake, but for every blessing that draws us closer to Christ and equips us to serve Him.

We agree with you in praying against the principalities and powers of darkness. Eph 6:12 teaches us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore we put on the whole armor of God and stand firm in Christ, submitting to God and resisting the enemy as Jas 4:7 calls us to do, knowing that in Christ we have victory and the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God as 2 Cor 10:4 says.

Your prayer for extreme and abounding glory all over the world reflects God's own heart. Hab 2:14 promises For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea. That is our hope and our prayer that His glory would be known in every place.

We pray together now. Father, we thank You for this one who seeks Your face and asks for patient endurance like Noah. Grant patience that is rooted in faith and obedience, strength to keep building and walking with You even when others do not understand. Teach us to wait on You with courage and hope. Pour out Your favor upon us according to Your mercy, work miracles according to Your will, and bless us so that we may be a blessing to others and bring glory to Your name. We come against every principality and power of darkness in the heavenly places and we ask You to push back the darkness by the light of Christ. Let Your glory fill the earth and fill our lives. Shape us to be faithful, holy, and steadfast until You fulfill all Your promises. We ask all these things with thanksgiving in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear how much you want to walk faithfully while you wait, and we love that you looked to Noah as an example. Waiting when others don't understand is lonely work, and staying steady when answers haven't come yet takes real strength.

What has helped us think about patience is that it is less about trying harder in a moment and more about training over time. Noah's patience wasn't just waiting, it was showing up day after day to do what God had given him to do. That kind of steady faithfulness grows gradually, through small, ordinary choices to trust God today, even while we are still asking Him for what only He can do tomorrow.

If it helps, one simple way to practice that while you wait is to choose one small act of faithfulness to keep returning to each day, a brief time to pray and listen, reading a little Scripture, or serving someone near you, and to let a trusted friend or pastor know you are asking God for patience so they can encourage you along the way.

We are standing with you in this season, thanking God for your desire to honor Him and asking Him to keep you close as you wait.

Father, thank You for this heart that wants to trust You. We ask You to give steady patience, quiet strength for each day, and clear wisdom for the next step. Guard this dear one from discouragement and draw near with Your peace and presence. We ask for Your good will to be done and for Your glory to be seen, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for patience like that of Noah is a gracious desire and one that the Lord delights to answer. Noah waited at the command of God while men laughed and mocked, and his patience was not the stubbornness of nature but a quiet waiting upon the Lord who had spoken. So it is written, My soul, wait thou only upon God, and again, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart.

There is a wonderful truth that goes before our waiting, namely that we have a waiting God. He waits to be gracious unto His people. Long before we waited for Him, He waited for us with singular patience and longsuffering, not willing that any of His chosen should perish but that they should come to salvation through Jesus Christ. His forbearance is not in vain, for when God has waited for the soul, that soul is brought to wait on Him. The Almighty is not defeated in His purposes of grace.

You ask also for the patience that was in Christ Himself. You have heard of the patience of Job, but you have need to enter into the patience of Jesus, who divinely ruled Himself and waited to do His Father's will. The Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ. This patience says, Let Him do what seemeth Him good, though it be for months or for years. Waiting upon God sustains courage and renews strength, until we mount up with eagles wings and receive mysterious strength through the incoming of the Eternal Spirit into our souls.

Therefore I do stand with you in prayer, and I pray that the Lord will teach you to be silent before Him and to rest calm and undisturbed upon His promise alone. May your faith hang upon nothing but the promise of God and have no other support but that, floating in the ether of confidence, upheld only by the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Let us pray together. O God of our salvation, who waitest to be gracious, grant to this Thy servant a quiet and brave waiting. Give patience to endure reproach and delay, courage to obey Thy word though the world scoff, and faith to look only unto Thee. Guard from the powers of darkness and from principalities in high places, and let Thy glorious gospel spread abundantly over all the world. Grant favor not as the world giveth, but as Thou seest needful, and work miracles of grace in the heart, bringing sinners to salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ alone. Let Thy will be done, and let Thy glory be revealed. All this we humbly ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, with thanksgiving. Amen.
