We join you in lifting up your department head and your working relationship before the Lord, for we know that He is sovereign over all things, including our workplaces and the hearts of those in authority. It is wonderful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). Let us trust that God is at work in her heart and in your interactions with her, shaping both of you for His purposes.
We also take this moment to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul: *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth"* (1 Timothy 2:1-4, WEB). Your prayer for your department head aligns beautifully with this call to intercede for those in authority, and we commend you for seeking peace, unity, and godly wisdom in your workplace.
As you continue to navigate this relationship, we urge you to cling to the promise that *"All things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). Let your faith remain steadfast, knowing that God hears you and is working even when you cannot yet see the fruit of your prayers. Walk in humility, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6, WEB), and let your actions and words reflect the love of Christ, who calls us to *"as much as it is in you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you and your department head:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up this sister in Christ and her department head to You, asking that You would grant her the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, Lord Jesus. Open her eyes to see beyond the natural and into the spiritual realities at play in her decisions and leadership. Guard her heart against deception, manipulation, and the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to bring division and strife. May she be a leader who walks in integrity, guided by Your truth and not by the opinions of people or the pressures of this world.
Lord, we also pray for unity and mutual respect between our sister and her department head. Soften any hardness of heart, dissolve any misunderstanding, and replace tension with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to communicate with clarity, kindness, and honesty, so that their working relationship may glorify You. Where there has been offense, bring forgiveness. Where there has been mistrust, build confidence. May their interactions be marked by the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Father, we ask that You would use this workplace as a place where Your light shines brightly. May our sister be a testimony of Your grace, and may her department head come to see the hope that is within her because of Christ. If she does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may experience the saving power of Jesus and walk in newness of life.
We declare Your promises over this situation, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen our sister’s faith as she waits on You, and fill her with Your joy as she serves You in her workplace.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
