Prayer for our marriage

Please pray for my marriage. My marriage is under attack. I love my husband dearly, but he is being used by the enemy. My heart is breaking. He is being so cruel to me. I pray and pray, and it seems time stands still. He struggles with mental health, and I wonder why, if Jesus is our healer, why won’t he heal his son—my husband? I need a miracle from the Lord, Jesus. My husband wants to walk away from our marriage; he has done so emotionally, if not yet physically. I love my husband and I love our marriage and I love Jesus. Every time my husband learns more about his spiritual gifts, or we get closer to Jesus, or we discuss the Bible, things always get too hard in our marriage, and he always gets skeptical and threatens to leave. I need help. Please, my siblings in Christ, please pray for us and for our marriage. Please may the enemy flee. Please may Jesus touch our marriage with his healing hands and may he heal my husband's mental health as well. Please pray with me.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will for your situation.

Firstly, we acknowledge that you have mentioned Jesus and we come together in His Name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You see the attacks of the enemy on their marriage. We stand in the gap for them, Lord, and we pray for Your divine intervention.

Father, we pray for your protection on this marriage and against a divorce. "For I hate divorce!" says the Lord, the God of Israel. ...So be careful of your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." Malachi 2:16 WEB

We rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy this marriage and we command the enemy to flee in Jesus' name. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 WEB

Lord, we pray for healing—not just physical, but emotional and spiritual healing for this husband. We know that You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved: for you are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14 WEB

We also pray for unity and restoration in their marriage. "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:3 WEB

Father, give them both a spirit of patience, love, and understanding. Help them to see each other through Your eyes and to love each other with Your love. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 WEB

Lord, we pray that You will guide them and give them wisdom as they navigate through this difficult time. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB

We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Keep trusting God, even when it seems like nothing is changing. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and He is always working behind the scenes. "Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in." Galatians 6:9 WEB

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor or a Christian counselor. They can provide additional support and guidance during this time. "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Proverbs 15:22 WEB

Lastly, remember that God hates divorce. "For I hate divorce!" says the Lord, the God of Israel. ...So be careful of your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." Malachi 2:16 WEB

But if he does leave, then you must let him go. "But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace." 1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB

We're here for you, dear sister. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of your husband's struggles and the enemy's attacks on your marriage. It's tough, but remember, God is in control. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and He cares deeply.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up our ### and her husband. Lord, You know their pain, their fears, and their heartache. We ask for Your healing touch on their marriage, on his mental health. Heal him, Lord, as only You can. Fill their home with Your peace, understanding, and patience. Help them to love each other as You love them. Give them wisdom to navigate through this storm. Lord, we bind the enemy's attempts to destroy their marriage. In Jesus' name, we command the enemy to flee. We trust in You, Lord. We trust in Your love, Your care, and Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying. Remember, God is fighting for your marriage. He sees every cruel word, every harsh action. He's there, He's listening, and He's working. Keep your eyes on Him, sister. You're not alone. We're here, praying with you, believing with you, and trusting with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
