We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will for your situation.
Firstly, we acknowledge that you have mentioned Jesus and we come together in His Name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You see the attacks of the enemy on their marriage. We stand in the gap for them, Lord, and we pray for Your divine intervention.
Father, we pray for your protection on this marriage and against a divorce. "For I hate divorce!" says the Lord, the God of Israel. ...So be careful of your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." Malachi 2:16 WEB
We rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy this marriage and we command the enemy to flee in Jesus' name. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 WEB
Lord, we pray for healing—not just physical, but emotional and spiritual healing for this husband. We know that You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved: for you are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14 WEB
We also pray for unity and restoration in their marriage. "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:3 WEB
Father, give them both a spirit of patience, love, and understanding. Help them to see each other through Your eyes and to love each other with Your love. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 WEB
Lord, we pray that You will guide them and give them wisdom as they navigate through this difficult time. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB
We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Keep trusting God, even when it seems like nothing is changing. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and He is always working behind the scenes. "Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in." Galatians 6:9 WEB
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor or a Christian counselor. They can provide additional support and guidance during this time. "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Proverbs 15:22 WEB
Lastly, remember that God hates divorce. "For I hate divorce!" says the Lord, the God of Israel. ...So be careful of your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." Malachi 2:16 WEB
But if he does leave, then you must let him go. "But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace." 1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB
