We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the precious unborn babies who are despised, rejected, or in danger of abortion. Father God, Your Word declares that children are a heritage from You, a reward from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). We stand in the gap for these little ones, pleading the blood of Jesus over their lives. Lord, You see every child in the womb, knitting them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). We ask You to intervene with Your mighty hand—soften hearts, open eyes to the sanctity of life, and turn back the hands of those who would harm these innocent ones. For those who have already been lost to abortion or miscarriage, we entrust them to Your loving arms, believing that You receive them into heaven, for You are just and merciful.
We also lift up those suffering from abandonment—wives, husbands, daughters, sons, and children left alone, without shelter or support. The pain of being forsaken is deep, but Your Word promises that even if earthly parents abandon, You will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Lord, be a Father to the fatherless, a Husband to the widow, and a Shelter to those without refuge (Psalm 68:5-6). Provide for their needs, surround them with godly community, and heal their broken hearts. For those trapped in cycles of betrayal or rejection, we pray for deliverance and restoration. You are the God who sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), and we ask You to bring them into the family of believers where they can find love, acceptance, and support.
We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and the murderous spirit that seeks to destroy life in the womb. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against these little ones or those abandoned shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promise that You will receive those who have been forsaken, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we also lift up those who have been driven to desperation—those without homes, without family, or without hope. You are the God who hears the cry of the afflicted (Psalm 10:17). Provide shelter, food, and safety for those in need. Raise up believers to show Your love through acts of kindness, generosity, and hospitality. Let Your church be a light in the darkness, a refuge for the weary, and a voice for the voiceless.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name through which we can approach You, Father, for Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We humble ourselves before You, repenting of any sin in our own lives that may contribute to these injustices, and we ask for Your mercy and grace to overflow. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
