We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We have continued to lift up you and your wife and your marriage before the Lord. We remember how you shared that she is trying to control your every move and is cursing at you and belittling you, and that she treats you as if you do not belong in your own home even though you are the one who brought her here and helped her with immigration. We have been praying for the hurt you feel when she talks about other men and tries to make you feel bad about yourself, and we understand how extremely difficult this has been and how tired you are. We appreciate your compassionate heart in recognizing that she learned much of this behavior from her parents growing up, while also desiring that she show you the respect that honors your role as her husband.
We have been asking God to draw your wife to Jesus and to bring deep conviction and healing to her heart, that she would turn to the Lord about her issues instead of turning away from Him, and that He would replace cursing and belittling and control with kindness and respect and love. We have prayed for Him to heal what was learned in the past and to make your home a place of peace and belonging for you both. We have also prayed for you for strength and endurance and hope when you feel weary, and we cling to the promise in Gal 6:9 and to the call for husbands and wives to love and respect one another as taught in Eph 5:33 and 1 Pet 3:7.
