We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter to our Heavenly Father. We recognize the deep love you have for her and the pain of seeing her in a situation that falls far short of God’s design for family. The Bible tells us in Psalm 68:5-6, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families." We stand on this promise, declaring that God sees your daughter, knows her needs, and is her ultimate protector and provider.
Father, we ask You to surround this little one with Your angels, to guard her body, mind, and spirit from harm. Shield her from the neglect and malice of those who should be nurturing her, and fill the gaps in her care with Your perfect love. Give her peace in the midst of chaos, joy in the midst of sorrow, and a deep sense of security in You. We pray for her emotional and mental development, that she would grow in wisdom, resilience, and faith, even in difficult circumstances. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly influences in her life, teachers, mentors, or family members, who can speak truth and love into her heart when her earthly parents fall short.
We also lift up your legal battles, knowing that the enemy would love to use them to keep this child from the safety and stability she needs. But we declare that God is the ultimate Judge, and His justice will prevail. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Father, we ask You to intervene in the courts, to soften hearts, and to open doors that no man can shut. Give wisdom to the judges, lawyers, and officials involved, that they would see the truth and act in the best interest of this child. Strengthen you, Lord, as you fight this battle, not just in the courtroom, but on your knees. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."
We must also address the spiritual condition of her mother. While we do not judge her, we recognize that her choices are not aligned with Your Word, and they are causing harm. We pray for her heart to be softened, for conviction to lead her to repentance, and for her to turn to You, the only One who can truly change her. Ezekiel 36:26 says, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of ignorance and malice in her life and draw her to salvation.
And to you, dear brother, we say this: your love for your daughter is a reflection of God’s love for His children. Do not grow weary in doing what is right. Continue to pray, to advocate, and to trust in the Lord’s timing. James 1:27 reminds us, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." You are living out this verse, and we believe God sees your faithfulness.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds as you wait on Him. Amen.
