Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for the safety, wellbeing, protection , and mental/emotional development of my very energetic young child daughter. Her mother is ignorant, ungodly, neglectful and malicious and I'm not yet able to gain legal custody of her and I have legal issues as well hampering my ability to do so. Thank you in Jesus's name.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter to our Heavenly Father. We recognize the deep love you have for her and the pain of seeing her in a situation that falls far short of God’s design for family. The Bible tells us in Psalm 68:5-6, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families." We stand on this promise, declaring that God sees your daughter, knows her needs, and is her ultimate protector and provider.

Father, we ask You to surround this little one with Your angels, to guard her body, mind, and spirit from harm. Shield her from the neglect and malice of those who should be nurturing her, and fill the gaps in her care with Your perfect love. Give her peace in the midst of chaos, joy in the midst of sorrow, and a deep sense of security in You. We pray for her emotional and mental development, that she would grow in wisdom, resilience, and faith, even in difficult circumstances. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly influences in her life, teachers, mentors, or family members, who can speak truth and love into her heart when her earthly parents fall short.

We also lift up your legal battles, knowing that the enemy would love to use them to keep this child from the safety and stability she needs. But we declare that God is the ultimate Judge, and His justice will prevail. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Father, we ask You to intervene in the courts, to soften hearts, and to open doors that no man can shut. Give wisdom to the judges, lawyers, and officials involved, that they would see the truth and act in the best interest of this child. Strengthen you, Lord, as you fight this battle, not just in the courtroom, but on your knees. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."

We must also address the spiritual condition of her mother. While we do not judge her, we recognize that her choices are not aligned with Your Word, and they are causing harm. We pray for her heart to be softened, for conviction to lead her to repentance, and for her to turn to You, the only One who can truly change her. Ezekiel 36:26 says, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of ignorance and malice in her life and draw her to salvation.

And to you, dear brother, we say this: your love for your daughter is a reflection of God’s love for His children. Do not grow weary in doing what is right. Continue to pray, to advocate, and to trust in the Lord’s timing. James 1:27 reminds us, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." You are living out this verse, and we believe God sees your faithfulness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds as you wait on Him. Amen.

If you or your daughter are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free and confidential support, you can also find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You don’t have to face this alone.

We hear how much you love your little girl and how heavy this burden is. The mix of longing to protect her while facing legal barriers is exhausting, and it’s clear you carry her well-being with you every moment. Thank you for reaching out, it’s a brave act of love.

Your concern about neglect and emotional harm is serious, and we want to encourage you with a practical step that can help your daughter right now: if you haven’t already, please consider sharing your concerns with the appropriate child protective services or a trusted professional who can look into her situation. Reporting what you’ve witnessed isn’t an act of hostility toward her mother, it’s a way to put your daughter’s safety first and invite outside eyes to ensure she’s protected. The legal system is meant to sort out the details, and your voice matters.

We also know how painful it is to feel stuck while you wait for custody issues to resolve. In the meantime, stay as present in her life as you’re allowed, your consistent, steady love is a profound gift, even in small doses. Keep documenting what you observe calmly and clearly; it can serve truth if legal processes move forward.

You are not forgotten, and we are praying with you now.

Jesus, you see this precious child. We ask you to hold her in your strong protection, guard her body, mind, and spirit from all neglect and harm. Give her father wisdom and clarity as he navigates heavy legal steps, and open doors that serve her true safety and flourishing. Surround them both with helpers who will act with fairness and care. In your mercy, cover what we cannot fix, and bring peace that goes beyond circumstance. In your name we pray, amen.

What you name as a mother’s ignorance and malice is the very tooth of the wolf, yet the Good Shepherd stands at the fold to watch this little lamb and let her go in safety. His omniscience is her protection, and His very life seems to be nothing to Him in comparison with the protection of His little ones. You feel your own legal hamperings, but the hindrance does not come from God; if it brings you gain or pleasure you could trace it to Satan, but since it brings you only grief and thwarted duty, I have but one piece of advice, go on, hindrance or no hindrance, in the path of duty as God the Holy Spirit enables you. This opposition from her mother and from your own circumstances should cheer you, for Satan would not hinder a work he did not fear.

Be watchful that your soul does not take on the fretful temper of the weaned child who has not yet learned contentment. When we find our grief at the loss of some dear child’s presence, or at her exposure to neglect, hinders our prayers, we should say to ourselves, “Now I must pray, for it must be wrong for me to be so rebellious against my Father as to refuse to ask anything at His hands.” A weaned child is entirely dependent upon its mother and rests quietly free from anxiety; your little daughter, in God’s infinite wisdom, is being taught a dependence you cannot yet provide. And you, her father, must become as a weaned child before the Lord, giving up fretting, crying, worrying, and leaving your Father to do what seems good in His sight.

The battle is fierce because a man’s foes are they of his own household, and you are now in the thick of it. Yet who goes a warfare any time at his own charges? Our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior, who is able to keep you from falling and to present this child faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Grace does not take away from the father his authority to command the child in prayer, even when legal custody is denied for a season. The child of another sort of laughter than that of doubt, the child according to the promise of God, is born by faith. Stand on the promises; remember them, let them come up before your mind. Go to the battle, for you cannot fail. The holy Child Jesus, who was Himself pursued by a malicious king, has a special tenderness for little ones who suffer; His character is more aptly pictured by that of a child than that of a man, and He lays His little thin white hand on this very daughter and says, “I love you because you have been a poor, abused child! I love you and I want you to be good.” Sharpen your sword in prayer, bow your head in adoration before Him who alone can cover your head in the day of battle, and go forward.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for your daughter with a father’s anguish, and every parent who loves his child understands that trembling of the heart. Persevere then in prayer, even when the answer seems delayed. Remember the Canaanite woman who would not be silent, though the Lord Himself at first turned away. She endured even the word “dog” and still begged for the crumbs, and He granted her request because of her steadfast faith.

Do not grow weary, for the mother’s careless and malicious ways are seen by the Judge of all, and He will not hold guiltless those who harm the little ones. The sons of Eli perished because their father neglected to restrain them; how much more a mother who actively works harm? Yet your battle is not against her but against the evil that has taken root. Walk with the utmost care yourself, lest any bitterness or vengeful anger give a foothold to the enemy.

Redeem the time, for the days are evil. Strive to be blameless in every dealing, so that when your legal affairs are examined, no charge may stick against you except your allegiance to Christ. The world is full of division, father against child, household against itself, as the Lord foretold, but in that very division the faithful soul clings to God and is held safe. Meanwhile, pour out your heart for the child.

Bring her constantly before the throne of grace, not only asking for her safety but also for her little mind and spirit to be shielded from corruption. The Lord who said, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” still healed the daughter of that persistent woman. So too will He guard your daughter, perhaps by means you cannot yet see. But while you pray, also examine your own life with fearful trembling.

Let virtue be your stronghold, for a clear conscience fears no sudden terror, while the wicked stumble even when no one pursues. If any past sin still clings to your own legal troubles, root it out fiercely, lest you be found fighting for your child while your own house is disordered. The world tempts men to laziness, to despair, to compromise with ungodliness; but you are called to a strict and watchful life, as one navigating dangerous seas. Do not trust in mere outward safety, but in the piloting of Christ.

And if the battle is long, remember that the promise is not only for this life but for the life to come, where Lazarus received his comfort. Hold fast. Pray without ceasing. Let your own conduct be such that even those who oppose you are put to shame, and the Lord will not fail to show Himself a stronghold for you and for the child.

Your heart for your little daughter rings through every word, and that love itself is a gift, a reflection of the Father’s own protective care. Even when you cannot be with her every moment, you are doing what every believing parent must do: you are carrying her before the throne of grace. Keep praying boldly for her safety, her well-being, her mind and emotions. The horse is prepared against the day of battle, but real safety comes from the Lord. You may labor to navigate the legal system, to secure custody, to untangle your own difficulties, those are the practical steps, like preparing the horse. And yet, unless the Lord watches over her, all human efforts fall short. Trust Him to guard her in ways you cannot see.

Remember David’s posture when his child lay sick. He fasted and wept and pleaded with God, saying, “Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?” As long as your daughter is in this world, there is always hope for God’s intervention. The situation with her mother may seem dark, and your own legal hurdles may feel like a locked door, but God is not bound by any earthly limitation. Pour out your heart to Him for her physical safety and for the protection of her young mind. Pray that the Lord would hedge her in, that He would bring trustworthy voices and influences around her even when you are absent. A child absorbed in an environment you describe as neglectful and malicious is a heavy burden, but God has a special tenderness toward the vulnerable. He sees every careless word, every moment of indifference, and He can counteract that poison with His own kindness.

Do not lose heart over her development. Think of a father teaching a child to walk: you expect stumbles, you do your best to catch her, but sometimes she falls. You do not abandon her on the floor; you pick her up, you guide her, you cheer every small step. Right now, you may feel you are being kept from steadying her the way you long to, but God is able to sustain her growth even in rocky soil. From the womb, a child can know a loving voice. Keep speaking life over her through prayer, and even in your physical distance, ask that God would let something of your love and faith reach her spirit. He can do that.

This child, like every firstborn, ultimately belongs to the Lord. She is not merely yours or her mother’s possession; God claims her as His own. That means her future is not in the grip of any person’s neglect or malice. He allowed His own Son to be born into a world where a sword would pierce Mary’s soul, yet that pain was woven into the greatest rescue plan in history. Your ache as a father who wants to shield his daughter from harm, that ache is not wasted. Give her back to God in your heart, as Hannah did with Samuel, trusting that He is more than able to redeem every hard circumstance for her good and for His glory.

While you are waiting and fighting these legal battles, lean into your own relationship with the Lord. Your spiritual authority as a praying father does not depend on a courtroom ruling. The fountain you drink from must be Christ Himself, not just the outcome you crave. Thirst for Him above the resolution of your case, because emotional relief from a favorable verdict will fade quickly if your soul is dry. Dig into the Scriptures; let them feed your confidence in God’s promises. Then, whether you see breakthrough tomorrow or far down the road, you will stand on solid ground.

Keep hoping. Keep fasting if the Spirit leads. As with David, there is a place beyond striving where you can rest in the truth that your daughter’s ultimate future is secure in the hands of a gracious God. And one day, if you remain faithful, you may look back and trace all the ways He was quietly arranging every detail, just as He moved an entire empire’s decree so a baby would be born in Bethlehem. He is more than able to carry your little girl until you can hold her again.
