Prayer for my son's Cricket Match

Thank you for sharing your prayer request for your son. We join you in bringing him before the Lord with thanksgiving and trust.

We pray that God will keep him safe as he travels to his match and as he returns home, that the Lord will guard his steps and grant him peace and protection on the way. We pray that he will have opportunity to bat and to play well, with skill, joy, and good sportsmanship, and that he will use the gifts God has given him with humility and gratitude. May he be encouraged and may his efforts bring honor to God through honesty, discipline, and kindness toward his teammates and opponents.

We ask the Father to watch over him as He watches over all His children, to keep him from harm, to strengthen him in body and spirit, and to bring him home safely in good health. We pray that whatever the result of the game, he will grow in character and know the Lord's nearness and care.

We lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting in His grace and love. Amen.
