Beloved of All
Your request for your son and his cricket match tomorrow has been heard, and I join you in bringing him before the Lord in prayer.
We give thanks to God for your son and for your care for him, and we ask the Lord to keep him in His gracious hand. May God grant him safe travel as he goes and as he returns, for He is our guide. As it has been said, we travel confident because of Jesus our guide, yet also sober and wakeful, and we ask that the Lord would keep your son safe on the way and on the field.
We also pray that he may play well, with diligence and a clear mind, with honesty and respect for others, and with a heart that seeks to honor God in all he does. May he do his best with the strength God has given him, and may he bear himself in a way that is worthy of the faith, so that the name of God is honored through his conduct.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this young man. We ask You to watch over him tomorrow, to protect him as he travels and as he plays, and to keep him from harm. Grant him focus, good health, and a joyful spirit as he uses the gifts You have given him. Help him to play with integrity and humility, and to be an encouragement to his teammates and to all who are there. Above all, draw him closer to Yourself and keep him in Your grace. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
