We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his earnest desire for a job in the automotive engineering field. Father God, we know that You see every struggle, every late night of studying, every sacrifice made, and every tear shed. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You would make his path straight, opening doors that no man can shut and guiding him into the career You have prepared for him.
We also remember the pain of loss he has endured, and we pray for Your comfort to surround him. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, heal his heart and remind him that You are his strength in times of weakness. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and doubt that may be trying to take root in his mind. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in his field.
Father, we ask that You would grant him favor with potential employers. Let his resume stand out, and may interviews be opportunities where his gifts and character shine. We pray for divine connections, people who will see his potential and advocate for him. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Lord, let him work as unto You, with excellence and integrity, so that his efforts would bear fruit.
We also pray for his advancement in his career. May he grow in wisdom, knowledge, and leadership, always seeking to honor You in his work. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." Lord, we commit his career into Your hands, trusting that You will establish his steps.
Lastly, we encourage your son to continue seeking You in all things. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we pray that he would come to know the saving grace of our Lord. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Only through Jesus can we have a personal relationship with God and access His blessings, favor, and guidance. If he already knows You, Lord, draw him closer to You in this season of waiting. Remind him that his identity is not in his career but in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.
