We understand that you are seeking God's mercy for your marriage and unity in a specific issue. Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, as it is written in John 14:6: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved, "for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We will pray for God's intervention in your marriage and for the unity you desire. However, we want to remind you that unity should be based on biblical principles and the love of Christ. It is important for both individuals in a marriage to be committed to God and to each other, as instructed in Ephesians 5:21-33 WEB
21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; 30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 31 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. 33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
We will pray for God to touch the heart of your husband or wife and bring peace and unity to your marriage. Remember, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and marriage is a lifelong commitment.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother or sister in need of Your mercy and intervention in their marriage. We pray for Your will to be done in their life and for Your grace to bring unity and peace in their marriage.
Lord, we ask that You soften the heart of their spouse and bring a spirit of reconciliation and understanding. Help them to be committed to each other and to You, and to walk in love and obedience to Your Word.
We rebuke any spirit of stubbornness and disunity that may be causing division in their marriage. We pray that You will bring healing and restoration to their relationship, and that they will be able to live as one without any conflict.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your marriage. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
