Prayer for my job situation

Rhieserdarr

Disciple of Prayer
Greetings in the lords name. Thanks for praying for me. Every prayer was answered by the lord. Please pray for me regarding the situations that I am facing in my new job. I am in this new job and I feel that my upper manager does not like me and would like to remove me from the lab job that I have. They keep changing the jobs that I handle. I was initially hired as an analyst but they removed me and was training me for a different kind of job without the knowledge of HR while I had to support the lab by doing the most basic lower level job in the lab. When I specified my education and asked for a better placement in the lab by highlighting what I can do with any other special pojects my manager may have, my manager was angry. She said to others that I will change the protocols in the lab and must be kept out. They are trying to hire other people and I feel that they would remove me from the job. Please pray for this matter brother. Thank you

We rejoice with you that the Lord has answered your prayers and we thank God for His faithfulness to you. We understand the anxiety and discouragement you are feeling in this new job, and we want to lift this burden with you before the throne of grace.

We hear that you feel disfavored by your upper manager, that your duties have been changed without clear communication with HR, and that you have been moved from the analyst role for which you were hired to a more basic role while being trained for something else. We also hear that when you humbly shared your education and willingness to help with special projects, it was met with anger and suspicion. It is painful to feel unwanted and insecure in your workplace, especially when you desire to use the gifts God has given you.

We want to encourage you that God sees your situation completely and He is sovereign over all promotion and placement. Psalm 75:6-7 reminds us, For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. Your job security does not ultimately rest in the hands of your manager but in the hands of our Father. Romans 8:28 assures us, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We also want to encourage you in how to walk through this trial in a way that honors the Lord. Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Even when assigned to the most basic lower level job, we can choose to do it with excellence and humility as unto Christ, trusting He notices. Philippians 2:3 tells us, doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself. This does not mean your education and skills are not valuable, but God often calls us to demonstrate faithfulness in small things before He entrusts us with more. Let your diligence and gentle spirit be your testimony. We also encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness or resentment toward your manager, and to pray for her. Romans 12:18 says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Continue to be respectful, not complaining or speaking against her to others, but committing your cause to God. 1 Peter 5:7 says, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

In wisdom, we encourage you to commit your works to the Lord and seek His guidance about whether and how to address the HR concerns. Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. If you do speak with HR, do so with grace and truth, without anger, seeking clarity and peace rather than demanding a position. Pray first for favor and for the right words at the right time.

We notice you greeted us in the lords name and spoke of the lord answering prayer, and we rejoice in your faith. We want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and can boldly approach God. We encourage you to always come in the precious name of Jesus.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that You have heard and answered our brother's prayers in the past. We thank You for Your steadfast love and for the work You have provided. Lord, You know the stress and uncertainty he faces in this lab, the changing assignments, the misunderstanding with his manager, and the fear of being removed. We ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7.

Lord, grant him wisdom and humility in every interaction. Help him to work heartily as for You, even in small tasks, and let his faithfulness shine as a witness. Soften the heart of his manager, remove suspicion, and bring favor and understanding between them. If it is Your will, establish him in the role for which he was hired or open a better placement where his education and gifts can be used for Your glory. We pray You would protect his job from unjust removal and that no plan formed against him would prosper if he is walking in Your will. Lead him regarding HR and give him discernment to speak with grace and truth at the proper time. Provide for all his needs and let this trial deepen his trust in You. We commit his works to You, believing You will establish his plans. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We were glad to hear from you again, and thankful to hear how the Lord has answered prayer for you before. We can hear how unsettling this new job has become, to be hired as an analyst and then shifted into different duties and the most basic work, while feeling your manager is against you and may be looking to bring someone else in. That kind of uncertainty is heavy to carry each day.

It makes sense you would want to use your education well and be placed where you can contribute. When you are spoken about negatively to others and feel you must be kept out of the lab, it can feel very personal and discouraging. We appreciate you handling it honestly and still wanting to do good work.

One steady step that often helps in a situation like this is to keep a simple private record. Note dates, what you were asked to do, any changes to your role, and conversations about your position. If you have an HR contact, a brief respectful note asking for a clear written description of your current role and reporting line can give you clarity and create a fair record without escalating things. Continue to be faithful in the work you are given and let any ideas about protocols come through proper channels.

Father, we bring our brother before You. You see his work, his skills, and the anxiety about whether he will be able to stay. Give him wisdom for each conversation, peace as he waits, and guidance for his managers and for HR. Provide for his needs and open the right next door, whether here or elsewhere. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

I feel as if people find me annoying, and people hated me in school; yet I still forgave them. (I have some verses to encourage you like I have been encouraged)

Romans 2:11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.

Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Isaiah 41:9-10 -Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

-- And my favorite verse because I struggle a lot with thinking I may not get into Heaven with Jesus.

KJV Romans 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant peace and agreement for this requestor in her workplace. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have heard your cry concerning this trial in your lab. We are thankful to hear that every prayer has been answered by the Lord hitherto, and we take this as a token for good that He who has helped you until now will not forsake you in this present difficulty.

You are in good company in your affliction, for the patriarch Job knew what it was to be brought very low and to feel himself despised and set aside. Yet it is written of him, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. In all his losses and in all his pain, he kept right with God. He arose and tore his mantle and shaved his head and fell down upon the ground and worshipped. So we exhort you in this time of uncertainty with your manager and your place in the lab, that you sin not with murmuring or unbelieving speeches, but worship still. Let not your heart charge God foolishly, for He is able to uphold you as He upheld Job, and to make your patience to triumph by His grace.

We mark also that the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Those friends had spoken harshly and judged him wrongfully, yet Job prayed for his offending friends and then his own sorrow had an end. Our longest sorrows have a close when God has gotten His end in them, which is to defeat the enemy and to prove and purify His servant. Therefore we counsel you to do as Job did and make your approach unto the Lord in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, and to pray for those who have authority over you, even for her who you feel is set against you. Commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, and leave your reputation and your position in His hands.

Do not strive with your Maker, nor contend in a spirit of pride for your own place. Be diligent in the most basic work as unto the Lord, as well as in the higher skill for which you were trained. Let your conversation be without boasting, and let your faithfulness in little things commend you. If it be according to the mind of the Lord to keep you in this lab, He can maintain the glory of your estate and renew your bow in your hand. If He has another field for you, He will open the door in His providence. In either case, seek fresh oil from Him who alone can keep your soul fresh and your hope shining like a star which never sets.

We will pray for you in this matter.

Our Father, we thank You that You have heard and answered our brother in times past. Now in this new trial we ask You to grant him a spirit of patience like Job, that he may not sin with his lips nor charge You foolishly. Give him wisdom to walk humbly and uprightly before his managers, to do his work with integrity and meekness, and to entrust his future to Your sovereign hand. Soften the heart of his manager, turn away harshness, and grant favor where it is Your will. Provide for his daily needs, establish the work of his hands, and let him see that You are near to those who worship You in affliction. Turn his captivity as You did for Job, in Your own time and for Your glory, and teach him to pray even for those who oppose him. Keep him in perfect peace as he trusts in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.
