Prayer for me and my family

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Today I ask for Your strength to sustain me, Your wisdom to guide every decision I make, and Your favor to go before me in every area of my life.
Lord, place Your hand of protection over me and my family. Surround us with Your angels, keep us safe from harm, and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Let no weapon formed against us prosper, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Fill our home with Your peace, love, and unity. Help us to trust You completely, walk in obedience to Your Word, and honor You in all that we do. May Your Holy Spirit direct our steps, give us discernment, and strengthen our faith each day.
We declare Your promises over our family, knowing that You are our refuge, our fortress, and our ever-present help in times of trouble. We place our lives into Your hands with confidence, believing that You are working all things together for our good and for Your glory.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We join you in lifting up your family to the Lord, affirming the truths you have declared in your prayer. The Word of God assures us, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards in vain" (Psalm 127:1). Your dependence on God’s strength, wisdom, and protection is a beautiful reflection of faith, and we stand with you in seeking His will for your home.

Father in Heaven, we come before You as a family of believers, united in prayer for this dear one and their household. We ask that You would indeed sustain them with Your mighty hand, guiding every decision according to Your perfect will. Let Your favor rest upon them, opening doors that no man can shut and closing those that would lead them astray. We declare over them the promise of Your Word: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we pray for divine protection over this family, not just from physical harm, but from the schemes of the enemy that seek to divide, discourage, or distract them from Your purpose. Surround them with Your holy angels, as You have promised: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, that they may dwell in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also lift up the atmosphere of their home, asking that You would fill it with Your presence. Let love, unity, and joy abound, even in the midst of trials. May they walk in obedience to Your Word, not leaning on their own understanding but trusting You in all things (Proverbs 3:5-6). Strengthen their faith daily, Lord, and let them be a light to those around them, reflecting Your glory in all they do.

We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or fear that may attempt to enter their home. We declare that their household is built on the foundation of Christ, and no storm can shake it (Matthew 7:24-25). Let them be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they continue to seek You with all their hearts, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that their lives would bring You glory, and that their testimony would draw others to You.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in these beautiful requests, thank you for sharing this prayer with us. There’s something powerful in simply naming before God what matters most: strength, wisdom, protection, peace for your family. We’ve seen over and over that He delights to hear honest, daily reliance like this.

One thing we have learned about faith: it’s less about mustering a feeling of certainty and more about choosing to trust the character of God right now, especially when we don’t see the whole path. You’re already doing that by placing your life in His hands and declaring His promises. As you keep asking for wisdom, remember that He often answers that prayer not with a grand blueprint, but with just enough light for the next small step, and that’s enough. He walks with you in that step, and He is guarding your family even in ways you may not notice.

There’s no elaborate action you need to take; simply hold steady. Each morning, bring these very words back to Him. When you feel uncertain, let your prayer be a fresh act of trust. We are standing with you, believing that God is already at work, weaving every detail for your good and His glory.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for this family who leans on You. Give them the strength to meet today’s challenges, and fill their minds with Your wisdom, not just for big decisions but in the quiet moments no one else sees. We ask for Your protective hand over each one of them, and for a deep, real peace in their home that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Grow their faith as they walk with You. In Your mighty name, Amen.

What a fine prayer you have set before us, filled with scriptural language and holy aspiration! Yet let me ask, do you find yourself weary in the very asking, as though the strength and wisdom and favor you seek must be wrung from heaven by your own earnestness? There is a vast difference between the soul that merely recites its desires and the soul that waits upon the Lord in utter dependence. You speak of declaring His promises, and that is well, but the text whispers that the way of wisdom is this: "He who trusts in the Lord, happy is he." Not he who resolves to believe, or he who strives to protect his own borders, but he who trusts. That trust is the still, deep resting of the mind upon God alone, and from it springs a peace that the world cannot give, a peace, peace, perfect peace.

You ask for wisdom to guide every decision. The world would have you calculate and plan; policy is not wisdom, and craft is not understanding. True wisdom is to be emptied of your own conceits, to bow no longer to the varying customs of worldly maxims, and to let the Divine motive actuate you. Have you ever noticed how God delights to take the low tree and exalt it? Joseph in the dungeon, Hannah in her bitterness, David overlooked by Samuel, all these learned that strength is renewed not by a frantic grasp, but by a patient wait. "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." Not those who merely ask for it, but those who wait, who sit still and know that He is God. When the leap before you seems too wide, do not resolve in your own strength, "I will believe more," lest you fall into despondency. Instead, cry with the apostles, "Lord, increase our faith." For if the duty is to be performed at all, it cannot be done in the strength of nature.

You plead for protection over your family, that no weapon formed against you may prosper, and that your home be filled with peace and unity. That is a right request, and the promise is sure: "He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat." But mark this, such peace is tied to purity. In our purity, and in our purity alone we stand. The home piety, the quiet obedience in the kitchen and the parlor, the faith that works its miracles not on some grand stage but on the exchange and in the commercial room, these are the bars of the gate which God strengthens. And what of loved ones far away? You are anxious for them, perhaps, but hear this: "In Jesus' keeping we are safe, and they." That is a peace worth having, a well-founded peace, a sea that has no bottom nor shore.

But now, look well to your own heart. You ask God to fill you with His peace, yet is there not sometimes a great vacuum left by sin which no amount of asking, in itself, can fill? Religious exercises, multiplied prayers, there is no peace in them though you multiply them as the sand upon the seashore. Peace is a filling peace that comes by believing, by trusting Jesus with your soul. Have you trusted Him? Then to you, even now, He says, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." Go in peace into your home, even if there is one there whose spirit depresses you. Go in peace, even if your own physical frame reminds you that strength recovers but gradually. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and that joy comes not from having all your petitions granted in the manner you expect, but from knowing that you are in Christ, and that all things work together for your good.

I charge you, then, never bow to the varying customs of worldly wisdom. Let men see that you are invincibly strong in the strength which trusting in God alone can confer. When there remains no strength in you, then fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. Do not be afraid that you cannot be saved; a great number of souls are destroyed through the fear that they cannot be saved. Cease from your own wearisome strivings. Take Christ in your hands, for He is made of God unto you wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. And then, with a mind stayed on Him, you will be kept in perfect peace, peace, peace, even in this dark world of sin, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Bear your sorrow with Him, and see what peace you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for God’s hand of protection, for angels to surround your family, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. This is a good prayer, but take heed lest you imagine that safety consists in a life free from all tribulation. For many who speak of peace and safety, living in luxury and insensibility, are suddenly overtaken, just as in the days of Noah they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the flood came and swept them all away. True security is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of the Shepherd who leads His sheep in and out so that none can thrust them from His pasture. If you remain in His household, you will be safe even when the world rages.

Yet remember that the household is built first upon the harmony of husband and wife. Where the head is in accord with the body, all other members are at peace. Let love rule your home, for where love is, no discord will find entrance. But do not merely seek protection from outward evils. Make your home a place of spiritual profit: let the poor be your companions at table rather than flatterers or stage players. Enjoin them to rebuke you when you err, to help you govern your children, and to clothe the naked through your hands. This is the favor God delights to bestow, not that you suffer no harm, but that you become a fountain of blessing.

And if afflictions come, do not be straitened. The thorn was given to Paul so that he might not be exalted, and that the power of God might be made manifest in weakness. The Lord permits hardships so that His strength may be shown in you. When you pray for His strength to sustain you, know that it often comes wrapped in tribulation, and His grace is sufficient. Do not trust in a mere confession while your life is given to ease. The judgment lingers now only that obedience may be fulfilled, but he who is conscious of no evil and walks in the light shall suffer nothing dreadful. Cling to Christ, and then, come what may, you will find He is your refuge indeed. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, because you are hid in His wounds.
