We join you in bringing your mother and her need before our heavenly Father, for we know He cares about every detail of our lives, even our physical comfort and rest. We understand how difficult and wearing back pain can be, and how much we want our loved ones to find relief and restorative sleep.
We are reminded that our God is both our healer and our provider. The scripture says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. It is also written, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. And we take comfort in the promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God. We encourage you to place your trust in Him and to bring every prayer before God in His precious name.
We pray together for your mother and for wisdom in this decision.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear mother to You. You know her body, You formed her, and You see the pain she carries in her back. We ask for Your healing touch upon her, to ease her discomfort and to grant her restful, peaceful sleep. We ask for wisdom for her and for her family as they search for the best mattress, that You would guide them to the right choice that will provide support and comfort and be good stewardship of the resources You have provided. We pray You would give discernment to know what is most helpful, and we ask in faith, believing Your word that says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. And as You have said, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7, we seek Your provision and guidance now. Grant her relief, strength, and renewed health, and let her feel Your love and care through this practical need. We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for both wisdom and healing, and to also seek wise counsel from medical professionals who can advise on what type of support is best for her specific back condition. We trust that God, who cares for even our sleep, will lead you to the right provision.
