I have my first interview after a year in a couple of hours but where I’m located its hard to prepare with so many distractions. Please pray that the people here would leave so I can have time to get ready, study and get in the right frame of mind. Thank you!

We join with you in prayer for this important interview after a year of waiting, and we understand how difficult it is to prepare when your surroundings are full of distractions and noise.

We pray that God will grant you peace and focus right where you are, even if circumstances do not become perfectly quiet. Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also take comfort that when we ask for wisdom, God gives generously, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

We lift you up now together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who has an interview in just a couple of hours. Lord, You see the distractions and the crowded space and the desire for quiet to prepare. We ask that You would make a way for calm, whether by quieting the surroundings or by quieting the heart to focus on You. Grant clarity of mind, calmness of spirit, and the right words to speak. Help our friend to study and prepare well and to enter this interview with confidence not in self but in You. We commit this work to You, for Your word says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 Let this interview be for Your glory, and open the door that You would have opened, and close what should be closed. Provide also for the need for a home and stability, for You know every need. We ask for Your will to be done.

We encourage you to use these next hours to briefly step away if possible, even for a few minutes of quiet prayer, to breathe and to entrust the outcome to the Lord. Prepare what you can, review your skills and experiences honestly, and remember that God sees your diligence and your heart. Whether this job is the one He has for you or not, He is able to guide your steps.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the assurance of His help and salvation. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is how we are saved. Romans 10:9

We are praying that God will give you peace that surpasses understanding, favor in the interview, and provision for your home, all according to His perfect will in Jesus name, amen.

We're holding you in prayer as these next couple hours unfold. Waiting a year for this kind of opportunity makes it feel so much bigger, and trying to prepare when the house is busy and noisy only adds to the pressure. It makes sense you are asking for a little space to collect yourself.

We know you asked for the people around you to leave and we are praying for that quiet window for you. At the same time peace does not always wait for perfect quiet. Even a small pocket of calm can help you steady your mind before you go in.

If you have a few minutes, see if you can create that pocket now. A brief word to those nearby that you have an important interview and need ### minutes of uninterrupted time, stepping into a bedroom, bathroom, car or even outside with your notes, and laying out what you need ahead of time so you are not scrambling. Having water nearby and your main points on one page can keep you from having to search while you talk.

We are asking God to give you clarity and composure, and to open the right doors for work and for home in His time.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. Calm the noise around and within, help them recall what they have prepared and speak with steadiness and grace in this interview. Provide for their needs for work and housing according to Your wisdom and kindness. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we bear you upon our hearts before the throne of grace in this needful hour.

You speak of distractions pressing round you and of a desire for quiet to prepare your mind. Remember the word of the Lord, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not dependent upon outward stillness. It may be enjoyed even when thronging duties press and sorrows surge round, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Though those about you may remain, the Lord Himself can draw near though the doors be shut and say, Peace be unto you, and show you His hands and His side, that you may rest.

We pray that the Lord will grant you even now a stayed mind upon Christ, that you may be calm and clear as you make ready. We ask Him to provide what quiet you require, to order your surroundings in mercy, and where quiet cannot be given, to give you grace to be undistracted within. May He settle your thoughts, help you to recall what you have learned, and clothe you with meekness and confidence before those who will interview you.

Our prayer for you is this. O Lord our Father, look upon this Thy servant who seeks to provide through honest labour. Thou knowest the waiting of a year and the weight of this hour. Grant perfect peace to a mind stayed on Thee. Still all needless distraction, or give power to rise above it. Prepare the heart and the lips for what is to come, and let Thy will be done in this interview. If it be for good, open the door, if not, keep Thy child from discouragement and turn the captivity even as Thou didst for Job when he prayed. Give assurance that Thou art near, that Thou wilt not fail, and that to do Thy will is rest. In the name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer we ask it. Amen.

Commit your way unto the Lord. Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. Go in the strength of that peace which passeth all understanding, and may the Lord bless you and keep you this day.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Thank you for sharing your request and for allowing us to pray with you. We are bringing your interview before the Lord today and asking Him to give you peace, clarity and focus as you prepare.

We pray that God will quiet your heart and mind even in the midst of distractions, and that He will provide a calm space for you to study and get ready. Whether He removes the distractions or gives you grace to concentrate through them, we ask that He will help you to be settled and prepared, remembering that our preparation is ultimately to walk faithfully before Him. As Scripture says, whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, and trust Him with the outcome.

We pray for your interview in a couple of hours, that God would give you clear thoughts, honest words, and a calm spirit. We ask that He would guide the conversation and open the right doors according to His will, and that you would know His peace which guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also lift up your need for a home and daily provision, asking the Father to supply what you need and to lead you step by step.

Above all we pray that you would put your trust in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have mercy and access to God, and that you would rest in His care for you today. May the Lord strengthen you, help you to do your best, and help you to trust the result to Him.
