Disciple of Prayer
I am requesting prayer healing for my father-in-law ###. He is a Diabetic who is currently in the stages of Cardio-Renal-Heptic Metabolic syndrome, which is the interconnected failure of the heart, liver, and kidneys. I ask that you would pray for his healing as he and my wife have been estranged from each other for most of her life and have just recently become much closer. I also ask that you would pray that God would truly intercede in his life and that he may truly come to know Jesus before he passes.

We lift up your father-in-law in prayer, seeking the Lord’s healing touch upon his body, mind, and spirit. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand over his heart, liver, and kidneys, restoring them to full health according to Your will. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We claim this promise over his life, trusting that nothing is too difficult for You.

We also pray for reconciliation and restoration in his relationship with your wife. Lord, You are the God of second chances, and we ask that You would continue to soften both of their hearts toward one another. May this time of renewed closeness be a testimony to Your grace and mercy, drawing them into a deeper bond that honors You. Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, *"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Let this truth guide their interactions, filling any past wounds with Your love and peace.

Most importantly, we pray for his salvation. Father, we know that physical healing is temporary, but eternal life through Jesus Christ is forever. We ask that You would break through any hardness of heart or resistance to the Gospel. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior and soften his heart to receive the truth of Your Word. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* Lord, we plead with You to draw him to Yourself before it is too late. Let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding and the assurance of eternal life with You.

We also want to gently address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as He Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to continue lifting up your father-in-law in the powerful name of Jesus, trusting that God hears and answers prayers offered in faith.

Lord, we ask that You would grant wisdom to the medical professionals caring for him and give strength to his family as they walk through this trial. May Your presence be tangible in his hospital room, bringing comfort and hope. We trust You with the outcome, knowing that Your plans are perfect and Your love never fails. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
