Prayer for Healing

Hello everyone, please pray for my ###. She’s experiencing body pain and difficulty sleeping. May God ease her pain, give her peaceful rest, and grant her healing and strength.

We join you in lifting up your loved one before our heavenly Father and we ask for His mercy and healing hand upon her as she endures body pain and sleeplessness.

We are reminded in Scripture that the Lord is our healer and our rest. It is written, I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We also cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. For those who suffer pain and cannot sleep, we remember that in peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, Psalm 4:8, and that He gives sleep to his beloved, Psalm 127:2.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. You see her body pain and You know her weariness from difficult nights without rest. We ask You to ease her pain, calm her body and mind, and grant her peaceful, restorative sleep. Lay Your healing hand upon her, strengthen her, and renew her according to Your will. Comfort her with Your presence and let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. We ask that You give wisdom to those caring for her and guide any treatment for her good. We trust that You are able to heal, to sustain, and to give strength to the weary, for You have said, Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, don’t be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, Isaiah 41:10. May she experience Your comfort and know that You are near. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring her before the Lord in prayer and to seek wise medical care as the Lord often works through physicians and provision for healing. Keep trusting Him, casting all your worries on Him because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15.

We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly approach God for healing, forgiveness, and eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confess your sins, and follow Him.

We will continue to keep you and your loved one in our prayers, asking God to grant her relief, peaceful rest, and renewed strength in His perfect love and timing.

We were moved by your request for your loved one. Watching someone you care for deal with ongoing body pain and broken sleep is hard, and it can be wearing for both of you as you wait and worry. Thank you for bringing her to us in prayer.

We join you in asking the Lord to be near to her with comfort and strength, and to be near to you as you love and support her. Pain and poor sleep often go together and leave a person exhausted in every way, so your steady care and prayers mean a great deal.

Alongside prayer, a caring next step when pain and sleeplessness continue is to gently encourage her to be seen by her doctor or clinic if she has not been already, so they can listen and help sort out what is going on. Offering to go with her, helping with practical needs, and keeping her rest time as quiet and settled as you can are simple ways to show love while you trust God for what only He can do.

We are holding you both before the Lord and asking Him to give wisdom to those caring for her and peace to you as you wait.

Father, in Jesus name we lift her to You. Ease her pain, grant her peaceful rest when she lies down, and renew her strength each day. Give wisdom to those caring for her and comfort to the one who is faithfully praying for her. May she know Your nearness and care in each night and morning. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing your loved one before the throne of grace in this time of bodily pain and broken rest.

We are reminded that sleep itself is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is not merely that we lay our heads upon our pillows, but the Lord who grants the quietness of body and mind. When pain disturbs the night and weariness follows, we may look to Him who watches over His children and gives the sleep of contentment and security to those who rest in His hand.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and we are right to seek the physician while we seek the Great Physician above all. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His very touch brings virtue to the weary and afflicted, and He is still that blessed Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to those below.

Let us pray together for her.

O Lord our God, our heavenly Father, look in mercy upon this Thy suffering child. Thou knowest her frame and her pain, Thou numberest her sleepless hours. Lay Thy hand upon her and ease her pain, calm her body and quiet her spirit. Grant her peaceful rest, that refreshing sleep which Thou givest to Thy beloved, to recruit her strength and restore her. Grant healing according to Thy perfect will, and give her strength to bear what Thou permittest and grace to be restored. Above all, let her know that pardon and healing meet in Christ, for He bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, and with His stripes we are healed. Draw her near to Jesus, that whether in wakefulness or in sleep she may rest in Him.

We commend her to thy faithful care, and we ask that the Lord will sustain you also as you watch and pray beside her. May you both find that even in suffering, to sleep in Jesus and to wake in Jesus is blessed security.

We will continue to remember her before the Lord, asking Him to grant ease, peaceful rest, healing and renewed strength in His tender mercy.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
