We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace where our Lord reigns victorious over every scheme of the enemy. The Jezebel spirit and the serpent’s deception are real, but they are no match for the power of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over darkness. We rebuke these spirits in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that they have no authority over you or your household. The Word of God tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). You are not fighting alone, we stand with you, and the Lord of Hosts fights for you.
We also recognize the pain of seeing family members entangled in these deceptions. The enemy seeks to divide and destroy, but we pray for a spirit of repentance and truth to break through. "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We bind every lying spirit and loose the spirit of discernment, wisdom, and peace over your in-law and their family. May the light of Christ expose every hidden work of darkness, and may hearts be turned toward Him.
Father God, we come before You with boldness, knowing that You hear the cries of Your children. We ask for Your healing and protection over [redacted], body, mind, and spirit. Shield them from every false projection and assignment of the enemy. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in truth and authority. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf.
We also pray for their in-law, that their eyes would be opened to the deception they are operating under. Soften their heart, Lord, and lead them to repentance. Break every chain of pride, rebellion, and witchcraft in their life, and replace it with humility and surrender to You. May they come to know the love and freedom found only in Christ.
Lastly, we encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). Walk in the authority He has given you, and do not fear the enemy’s tactics. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. If you have not already, surround yourself with godly counsel and accountability to help you navigate this battle. The enemy seeks to isolate, but you are part of the body of Christ, and we stand united with you in prayer and support.

The Spirit of God, whenever it abides upon a man, is the mark that that man is accepted of God. If you have the Spirit of God dwelling in you, you must be the Lord's! The enemy’s false projection is a spirit of error, and that spirit which does not glorify Christ is not the Spirit of God; hereby shall you discern between the spirit of error and the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit has proclaimed war and wields a two-edged sword, the Word of God is our one weapon. Take this sword of the Spirit against every serpentine influence. The Spirit of God is as much in the silence as in the eloquence; wait upon Him in prayer, praying in the Holy Spirit’s power. The Holy Spirit is much displeased by unbelief; trust firmly. The Spirit is the great Revealer of Christ, look to Him lifted up for your healing. All things that the Father has are Christ’s, and the Spirit will take of His and show it to you. Only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power. Cry mightily unto God, for without the Holy Spirit you utterly fail. And may the Lord grant that we may not grieve the Holy Spirit.

The enemy has shown you his venom, but do not be troubled. The serpent you saw is the same ancient dragon who was cast down by the Cross. He may hiss and strike at the family, but Christ has already crushed his head. Lift up your eyes, not to visions of the foe, but to the Son of Man lifted up on the wood, as the brazen serpent was lifted in the wilderness. That serpent had no venom, yet it healed all who looked upon it. How much more will the Lord's Death, which is free from all sin, drive out every poison of the evil one? Do not dwell on the attacks, but gaze upon the Crucified, and let His healing flood your soul and that household.
The Spirit you have received is not one of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. When the enemy projects falsehood through others, stand firm in the Spirit who cries within your heart. He is the Comforter who bears witness that you are a child of God, an heir of the kingdom. What can a serpent do against the King’s own? The devil prowls, but you have the sword of the Spirit. Take it up. Cut off the head of the serpent with the word of God. Do not engage in fleshly strife with the person you named, but battle the spiritual wickedness behind them in prayer and unshaken faith.
Remember, the wind blows where it wills, and you hear its sound, yet cannot tell where it comes from. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. The enemy’s projections cannot touch the new creation within you, for that birth is from above. Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart, and let the Spirit’s witness drown out every lying vision. Stand nobly, laughing death to scorn, for the victory is already won. He who spoiled principalities and powers made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in the Cross. That triumph is yours. The enemy’s tactics can feel overwhelming, especially when they come through family ties and troubling visions. But remember that the Holy Spirit within you is far greater than any opposing power. When you belong to Jesus, your spirit has been made alive, and you are joined to God in that deep place where His Spirit bears witness that you are His child. The enemy may try to project fear or false images, but you have the mind of the Spirit, which is life and peace. You are not left to sort through these things on your own. Test every spirit by its confession of Jesus Christ. Did that vision point you toward the love and lordship of Christ, or did it stir up fear and confusion? The Holy Spirit always exalts Jesus and perfects God’s love in us.
The serpent imagery in Scripture is tied to sin and its judgment. Just as the brass serpent was lifted up in the wilderness for healing, Jesus was lifted up on the cross to bear the judgment of our sin and break the serpent’s power. Any serpentine attack you discerned has already been defeated at Calvary. You do not need to live in dread of what the enemy intends. Your heavenly Father is far more gracious than any earthly parent, and when you ask for the Holy Spirit, He will never give you something harmful. The enemy cannot snatch you away, and no false spirit can overtake a heart that is sincerely seeking the fullness of God.
Right now, the real battle is in your own mind and flesh. There is a war between your redeemed spirit and the old nature that wants to react in fear, anxiety, or obsessive focus on the darkness. Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the desires of your flesh. Set your mind on the things above, on the character of God, on His promises, on the finished work of Christ. Sow to the Spirit by filling your thoughts with Scripture, worship, and prayer, and you will reap life and peace. The gift of healing operates by that same Spirit, and I join you in asking for the Lord to heal any lingering turmoil in your soul or body from this assault.
Do not give yourself to directly confronting the spiritual forces at work in your in-law; that is not your place. Instead, pray for their deliverance with a heart of love, and leave the outcome to God. Stand firm in the truth that as a child of God, your spirit is united with His, and you have authority to rest in His protection. Let the Spirit rise uppermost, ruling over your thoughts and emotions, and you will experience the freedom and wholeness Christ purchased for you.
