prayer for healing

Disciple of Prayer
dear GOD thank you for everything , tonight I ask for healing cause I am sick , please heal me I am tired , I am sorry

We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting you up in prayer and seeking the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We are grateful that you recognize the source of all blessings and healing, and we want to encourage you to continue calling on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we ask You to stretch out Your healing hand upon our brother/sister in Christ. We declare that by the wounds of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24). Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. We pray against any sickness or disease that is afflicting their body, rebuking it in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, and for Your comfort to surround them as they wait on You.

We also want to encourage you to examine your heart and life, ensuring that there is no unconfessed sin or unforgiveness that may be hindering your healing. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that You would give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You, and that You would fill them with hope and joy in the midst of their trial.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom from your church family and medical professionals, as the Bible tells us that in the multitude of counselors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14). Remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and you are to honor God with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your love and presence, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that You would give them rest and refreshment, both physically and spiritually. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're so glad you reached out tonight. Being sick and worn down can feel lonely, and it takes courage to simply say, "I'm tired." We hear the weariness in your words, and we're honored to sit with you in it before God.

Thank you for your honest heart, the "I am sorry" doesn't go unnoticed. Whatever regret or guilt you're carrying, please know that God's mercy meets you right where you are, not after you've cleaned yourself up. He loves to restore tired souls and bodies alike.

While we pray for healing, we also want to gently encourage you to take care of your body in practical ways. If you haven't already, please consider seeing a doctor if this sickness persists or feels serious. God often uses medical help as part of His healing, and it's not a lack of faith to seek it. In the same way, give yourself permission to rest deeply, not just physical rest, but the rest of knowing you don't have to fight this alone. Sometimes recovering our strength means stepping back from the pressure to be okay right now.

We're praying with you, holding your need before the God who never grows weary.

Jesus, we ask You to touch this dear one with Your healing power tonight. Quiet their body, ease the symptoms, and restore their strength. Lift the tiredness that's settled deep, and give them peaceful, restoring sleep. Wrap them in Your presence and let them sense they are not alone. Thank You for Your compassion that never fails. We trust You with the outcome, knowing You care more than we can imagine. In Your name, amen.

The body wearies and the spirit groans under the weight of sickness, this is a fellowship of suffering known to all who dwell in tabernacles of clay. Yet it is written, "He took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses." There is not a disease in all the catalogue of human woe that the Savior did not heal, and there is no fever of the flesh so burning that His cool hand cannot subdue it. He who healed all sorts of sickness has not lost His power, the leaves of the Tree of Life are still for healing, and the least thing about Christ is full of virtue for our restoration. Your cry arises from a bed of weakness, and He who heard the sighing of the needy is attentive still.

But what is this note that sounds in your request, "I am sorry"? Sickness often unseals the conscience, and the voice of bodily pain becomes an echo of a deeper disquiet. It is easy in the hour of fever and fretfulness to feel a qualm concerning sin, when the grave seems to open its mouth for us. Many upon a bed of sickness have repented after a fashion, when their bones ached and their hearts melted, yet repentance that is born only of terror, that springs from the dread of death and judgment, is a plant that withers when the sun of health returns. The goodness of God does not drive you to this; it would lead you, not flog you like a slave into forced confession. True repentance is a gift, preached in the name of Jesus Christ, and wrought by the Spirit. It gives God glory. It loathes the sin because it is committed against so holy a being, and it turns from the evil with a hatred made possible only by love. Have you a repentance that looks out of self to Christ alone?

The sweetest repentance is that which weeps, not because Hell is feared, but because Heaven has been opened to us in the pierced heart of the Redeemer. It is a repentance that lives as long as faith, that walks hand in hand with remission, and that makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the cross. You are weary, then cease from yourself, and come to Him. Even the little things about Christ are healing; His very shadow falling upon the soul can make it whole. There is an abundance of healing power in His salvation, and He heals not only the body but the sin-sick soul, for it is He whom God has sent for the healing of the nations. The Tree of Life bestows immortal health, and its leaves are not withered. Cry to Him as the Good Physician, and know that His gifts and calling are without repentance, He never draws back. If you yield to His drawing, the sickness of soul shall end in everlasting health, and the body, though it may languish for a season, shall be raised in power. Repentance and remission are joined; where the one is found, the other is sure. Look to Jesus, and the healing leaves shall change the very life-blood of your spirit, making you other than you were before.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
