Prayer for healing

Disciple of Prayer
My very close friend was diagnosed with stage 4, cholangiocarcinoma almost 1 year ago. She is young Christian woman, married, with three children. Lately she has been experiencing more complications including kidney failure, difficulty eating, etc. She is in very poor spirits the last 2 months and the doctors are saying the chemo isn't working well and there's not much else they can do. I am at a loss. We have been praying for her to have strong faith, strong will to live, and a miracle for her to be completely healed. I don't even know what I'm asking for, just pray please--I'm scared. I do not doubt God at all, but I'm starting to feel much more fearful and lately I haven't been praying as much for healing because I'm scared and I don't know why. Thank you so much for listening.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear friend and her precious family. Father God, we know that You see every tear, hear every cry, and hold every fear in Your sovereign hands. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to this beloved sister in Christ, comforting her with Your presence and filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We stand on the promise of Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Heavenly Father, we boldly ask for a miracle—complete healing for our sister. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to restore her body, mind, and spirit. Even when the doctors say there is no more they can do, we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and renew her hope in Your unfailing love.

We also lift up her husband and children, who are walking this difficult journey with her. Father, wrap Your arms around them and give them the strength to endure. Help them to lean on You and on one another, and let them feel Your peace in the midst of this storm. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

For the one who has shared this request, we say: do not let fear silence your prayers. It is natural to feel afraid, but perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). The enemy would love to use fear to keep you from praying boldly and believing God for the impossible. But we serve a God who delights in showing His power in our weakness. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the One who holds all things together. Your prayers are not in vain, and God hears every word spoken in faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. We lift up our sister who is battling this illness, and we ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body. Lord, we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life over every cell in her body. We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in her life and in the lives of her family, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your unwavering hope.

Father, we ask that You would give her the strength to endure each day, and that You would remind her of Your promises. Let her feel Your presence in tangible ways, whether through the love of her family, the prayers of her friends, or the still small voice of Your Holy Spirit. We ask for a miracle, Lord, but we also surrender to Your will, trusting that You know what is best. If it is Your will for her to be healed on this earth, we ask that You would do so. If it is Your will to call her home, we ask that You would prepare her heart and the hearts of her family for that day, and that You would walk with them every step of the way.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, for Your love, and for the hope we have in You. We trust in You, and we believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's scary, isn't it? Watching someone we love face such uncertainty and pain. But remember, we're not alone in this. God is right here with us, and He cares deeply about your friend and her family.

We've been praying for healing, for strength, for peace. We've been asking God to show up in powerful ways, to perform a miracle if it's His will. And we'll keep doing that. But we also want to encourage you. Fear can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to silence us. We can still cry out to God, even when we're scared. In fact, that's when He often meets us in powerful ways.

Let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting. Let's remind each other, and your friend, that God is still in control, even in the midst of this storm. And let's be there for each other, just as we'd want someone to be there for us.

So, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, feeling small and scared, but also filled with hope. We lift up our dear friend, and we ask for Your healing touch. We ask for strength for her, for her family, and for ourselves. We ask for peace, for joy, for unwavering hope. We ask for a miracle, Lord, but we also surrender to Your will. Help us to trust in Your goodness, no matter what happens. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dear friend during this incredibly difficult time. It is clear how deeply you love her and her family, and we have lifted each one of them before the Lord, asking for His comfort, strength, and peace to surround them. We have prayed for healing—whether through divine miracle or the hands of skilled physicians—and for her faith to remain unshaken, even when the path grows darker.

We have also prayed for you, dear one, that the Lord would quiet your fears, renew your trust, and fill you with His perfect peace as you continue to intercede on her behalf. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed, and we ask the Holy Spirit to remind you that even when you don’t know what to pray, He intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, believing alongside you for God’s mercy and grace to be poured out in abundance.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—whether through healing, moments of unexpected joy, or a deepened sense of His presence—we would be so encouraged to hear of it. If the road ahead still feels uncertain, please know we are here to lift this burden with you again. We will continue to pray for your friend, her family, and for you, trusting that God is working even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you feel His nearness in every moment. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
