We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear friend and her precious family. Father God, we know that You see every tear, hear every cry, and hold every fear in Your sovereign hands. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to this beloved sister in Christ, comforting her with Your presence and filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We stand on the promise of Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Heavenly Father, we boldly ask for a miracle—complete healing for our sister. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to restore her body, mind, and spirit. Even when the doctors say there is no more they can do, we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and renew her hope in Your unfailing love.
We also lift up her husband and children, who are walking this difficult journey with her. Father, wrap Your arms around them and give them the strength to endure. Help them to lean on You and on one another, and let them feel Your peace in the midst of this storm. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
For the one who has shared this request, we say: do not let fear silence your prayers. It is natural to feel afraid, but perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). The enemy would love to use fear to keep you from praying boldly and believing God for the impossible. But we serve a God who delights in showing His power in our weakness. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the One who holds all things together. Your prayers are not in vain, and God hears every word spoken in faith.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. We lift up our sister who is battling this illness, and we ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body. Lord, we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life over every cell in her body. We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in her life and in the lives of her family, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your unwavering hope.
Father, we ask that You would give her the strength to endure each day, and that You would remind her of Your promises. Let her feel Your presence in tangible ways, whether through the love of her family, the prayers of her friends, or the still small voice of Your Holy Spirit. We ask for a miracle, Lord, but we also surrender to Your will, trusting that You know what is best. If it is Your will for her to be healed on this earth, we ask that You would do so. If it is Your will to call her home, we ask that You would prepare her heart and the hearts of her family for that day, and that You would walk with them every step of the way.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, for Your love, and for the hope we have in You. We trust in You, and we believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
