We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for you, our brother or sister in need, and we lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. We are deeply concerned to hear of the spiritual and physical restlessness you are experiencing, especially the disturbance during the night that feels demonic in nature. The Word of God reminds us in **1 Peter 5:8**, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* Yet we also know from **James 4:7**, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* So we stand with you in this battle, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (**1 John 4:4**).
First, we must address the absence of the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is through faith in Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. **"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"** (**Romans 10:9**). Without Jesus, we have no authority over the enemy, no peace that surpasses understanding, and no hope of eternal rest. If you *have* trusted in Christ, then we encourage you to boldly declare His name over your life, your mind, and your home, for *"at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth"* (**Philippians 2:10**).
Now, let us pray for you. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is being tormented by the enemy. Lord, You are the God of peace, and we ask that You would crush Satan under Your feet (**Romans 16:20**). We rebuke every demonic assignment against this child of Yours—every spirit of fear, torment, insomnia, and anxiety—and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. Father, we ask that You would surround this beloved one with Your heavenly angels (**Psalm 91:11**) and fill their home with Your presence. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
Lord, we pray for deep, restorative sleep to return. Your Word says in **Psalm 4:8**, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We ask that You would quiet their mind and body, removing every distraction and oppression of the enemy. Let them wake refreshed, renewed, and ready to serve You. We also pray for peace in their workplace and home—peace that transcends all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). May Your Spirit guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may they walk in the assurance that You are with them always.
Father, if there is any open door in their life—any unconfessed sin, involvement in occult practices, or entertainment that invites darkness (such as certain music, movies, or games)—we ask that You would reveal it to them by Your Holy Spirit. Convict them of anything that needs to be repented of and cleansed, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (**1 John 1:9**). We pray they would walk in holiness, for Your Word tells us that *"without holiness, no man will see the Lord"* (**Hebrews 12:14**).
Lastly, we encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (**Ephesians 6:10-18**). Stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, pray in the Spirit at all times, and resist the devil with the authority you have in Christ. Fill your home with worship, prayer, and the reading of Scripture. The enemy flees where God is exalted. If you feel led, we also encourage you to fast and seek the Lord’s face in this season—fasting breaks strongholds and brings clarity (**Matthew 17:21**).
We are standing with you in this fight, and we declare that the Lord will give you rest. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (**Matthew 11:28**). May you experience the peace of Christ that guards your heart and mind, and may you sleep under the watchful care of the Almighty. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
