We are truly sorry to hear about your son's condition, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and support. We believe in the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promises in the Bible. In Psalm 103:2-3 WEB it says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. We believe that God can heal your son and that He is faithful to His promises.
However, we also need to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. In Romans 8:28 WEB, we read, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Even in this difficult time, God can bring good out of this situation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this precious child to You. Lord, You know the struggles he has faced and the concerns that weigh heavily on his parents' hearts. We ask, Father, that You touch his body and heal his heart. We pray for Your divine intervention, that he would not need a transplant, but that Your healing power would manifest in his life.
We also pray for his parents, Lord. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide the doctors and medical staff, giving them wisdom and discernment as they care for this child.
We ask for all this in the precious name of Jesus. As it is said in John 14:13 to 14, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
We thank You for your love, mercy, and grace in this situation. We believe and trust in You, Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is said in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let's discuss that point a little more. While Jesus was on earth, He prayed to God the Father, and taught us to do the same (as in the Lord's Prayer, Matthew 6:9, 'Our Father'). Jesus prayed for us. But the revelation is that Jesus is God the Son. Philippians 2:5-6 says, Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped. We are saved by Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, and by believing in Him. He is our advocate and intercessor. The basis for our access to God is because of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. We pray in His authority, and in His name. Not just because it's a nice thing to do, but because we have no access to the Father except through Jesus. We have to have a relationship with Jesus and submit to His lordship in our lives. We don't want to assume we are all Christians just because we pray or that we are a prayer group. We want to make sure that you and others we pray with and for understand the importance of Jesus in your life. It is our hope and prayer that you and your family are secure in your belief in Jesus Christ.
