We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and this concerning spot on his brain. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical team performing this biopsy. Let their minds be sharp, their techniques precise, and their findings clear. Lord, we pray fervently that this spot is nothing more than radiation necrosis—evidence of past battles fought and won, not a recurrence of the tumor. You are the God who heals, and we stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We also pray for peace to flood your hearts as you wait for the results. The enemy would love to steal your joy and fill your minds with fear, but we rebuke that spirit of anxiety in Jesus’ name. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let that peace, which defies all logic, be your comfort and strength in these days.
Father, we know that even if the news is not what we hope for, You are still good, and Your plans for your son are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would prepare his heart, and yours, for whatever lies ahead. Give him courage, resilience, and an unshakable trust in You. Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and let him feel Your love in tangible ways.
We also want to gently remind you that our hope is not ultimately in medical reports or even in the best of earthly treatments. Our hope is in the name of Jesus Christ, the One who conquered sin and death and holds all things together by the word of His power (Colossians 1:17). If you or your son have not placed your trust in Him as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no greater news than the salvation found in Christ, and we pray that your family would know Him deeply in this season.
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over him and command any spirit of infirmity or disease to flee in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the healing that is already on the way, whether it comes through medical intervention, divine miracle, or a combination of both. We trust You, Father, and we wait expectantly for Your goodness to be revealed.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
