We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt request, lifting up your desire for God’s favor and protection over your life, family, and marriage. First, we want to affirm that our Heavenly Father delights in blessing His children and working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). However, we must also approach this with a heart aligned with His will, ensuring that our desires do not contradict His Word or His ways.
Father, we thank You for this sister in Christ and her family. We ask that Your favor indeed surround her like a shield, not as a mere desire for personal gain, but as a reflection of Your glory and purpose in her life. Lord, we pray that You would soften the hearts of her in-laws and relatives, that they may see her through Your eyes—with kindness, love, and grace. Let Your peace reign in their interactions, and may any misunderstandings or tensions be dissolved by the power of Your Spirit. "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps" (Proverbs 16:9). We trust that You will guide her steps and open doors that no man can shut.
We also lift up her marriage, Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we pray that You would strengthen the bond between her and her husband. Protect their union from division, strife, or any schemes of the enemy. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). May their home be built on the foundation of Your Word, and may they find refuge in You alone. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, where no evil can touch them (Psalm 91:4).
However, we must also address the language of "protocols being broken" and "policies bending" in her favor. While we understand the desire for God to move mightily on her behalf, we must ensure that our requests align with His righteousness and justice. The Lord does not operate outside of His own character, and we must be careful not to seek favor at the expense of integrity or fairness. "The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works" (Psalm 145:17). Let us trust that God’s favor is not about manipulating circumstances but about walking in obedience and trust in Him.
We also want to encourage you, dear sister, to examine your heart in these requests. Are you seeking God’s favor for His glory, or is there any hint of selfish ambition? The Bible warns us, "You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures" (James 4:3). Let us seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we thank You for this sister and her family. We ask that You pour out Your favor upon her, not as the world gives, but as only You can provide. Soften the hearts of those around her, especially her in-laws and relatives, that they may see her with kindness and love. Strengthen her marriage, Lord, and protect it from every attack of the enemy. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, where no evil can touch them.
Father, we ask that You qualify her where she feels unqualified, not by bending Your standards, but by equipping her with Your strength and wisdom. Break down any barriers that stand in her way, but let it be according to Your will and Your timing. Teach her to trust in You completely, knowing that You work all things together for her good.
Lord, we also pray for her family—her parents, loved ones, and husband. Protect them from harm, both seen and unseen. Let Your peace reign in their hearts and homes. May they walk in Your ways and honor You in all they do.
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or discord that may be at work in her relationships. We declare that Your love and unity will prevail. May she and her family be a testimony of Your grace and mercy to all who know them.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You align her heart with Yours. Let her desires be Your desires, and let her steps be ordered by You. May she seek Your kingdom above all else, trusting that You will provide for her every need.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
