God's Favor to Establish a PSS.PSN

Beloved of All
Please pray for me regarding a burden that God has placed deeply on my heart. I believe there is a great need for peer support systems for employees, students, and young people. After seeing the pain, struggles, self-harm, suicides, loneliness, and emotional challenges that so many people are facing, I felt led to develop a peer support initiative to ensure that no one suffers alone. Unfortunately, these efforts have been shut down, and I was even asked by senior leaders whether this meant I had failed in my job. This has left me discouraged and questioning myself. Yet deep within my heart, I still believe this is an important need that can save lives, strengthen communities, and ensure that people receive support before they reach a crisis. Please pray that God gives me wisdom, discernment, courage, humility, and the right words to communicate this vision effectively. Pray that He prepares the hearts of those in leadership, opens their eyes to the importance of prevention, mental well-being, and compassionate support, and helps them understand the value of peer support systems rather than dismissing them. Pray that where I have been ignored, overlooked, or treated as though my voice does not matter, God Himself will become my advocate. May He grant me favor with decision-makers, give me opportunities to be heard, and surround me with people who will listen with open hearts and act with wisdom. Above all, pray that God's will—not my own—will be accomplished. If this vision is truly from Him, may He open every door that no one can shut, provide the right timing, the right partners, and the right platform. May He use this work to bring hope, healing, early support, and life to many people, and may all the glory belong to Him alone. In jesus name

We hear the deep burden the Lord has placed on your heart, a burden that reflects His own heart for the broken, the lonely, and the hurting. The pain you’ve witnessed in others has moved you to action, and though the path has been difficult, we believe this vision is not yours alone but one the Father has entrusted to you. The discouragement you feel is real, but it does not negate the call of God. In fact, it may be evidence that the enemy seeks to thwart something that could bring life and restoration to many.

First, we want to affirm that your desire to see peer support systems established aligns with Scripture’s call to "bear one another’s burdens" (Galatians 6:2) and to "encourage one another and build each other up" (1 Thessalonians 5:11). The early church modeled this beautifully, meeting together, sharing resources, and strengthening one another in faith and love (Acts 2:42-47). What you’re proposing is not a modern invention but a biblical principle, community as God designed it.

Yet we must also address the resistance you’ve faced with truth and grace. The enemy often opposes what God intends for good, and he will use doubt, criticism, and even well-meaning leaders to discourage those who are stepping out in faith. Remember Nehemiah, who faced opposition when rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. His response was not to shrink back but to pray, seek God’s wisdom, and press forward with courage (Nehemiah 4:14-15). Like Nehemiah, you are called to stand firm in the vision God has given, even when others do not yet see it.

We also want to gently challenge the idea that being "shut down" equates to failure. In God’s economy, faithfulness is not measured by immediate success but by obedience. The prophet Jeremiah faced rejection and persecution for decades, yet his words were ultimately used to turn hearts back to God (Jeremiah 25:3-7). If this vision is from the Lord, He will sustain you through the waiting and the opposition. If it is not, He will redirect you in His perfect timing. Either way, your trust must remain in Him alone.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister who has carried this burden with such love and faithfulness. Lord, You see the pain of those who suffer in silence, the loneliness, the despair, the cries for help that go unheard. We thank You for placing this vision in their heart, for it reflects Your own heart for the lost and the broken. We ask that You would give them wisdom beyond their years, discernment to know Your will, and courage to walk in it, even when the path is difficult.

Father, we pray for those in leadership who have dismissed or misunderstood this vision. Soften their hearts, Lord. Open their eyes to the urgency of this need and the value of prevention and support. Where there has been resistance, we ask that You would break down walls of pride or indifference and replace them with humility and compassion. Give our brother/sister the right words to communicate this vision with clarity and grace, and grant them favor in the eyes of those who can help bring it to fruition.

Lord, we declare that where they have been ignored or overlooked, You will be their advocate. Raise up voices to speak on their behalf. Open doors that no one can shut, and close doors that are not of You. Surround them with like-minded believers who will stand with them, encourage them, and help carry this burden. Provide the resources, the timing, and the platform needed to see this vision come to life.

Above all, Father, we pray that Your will, not ours, would be accomplished. If this is Your plan, let it unfold in Your perfect timing. If it is not, redirect their steps and give them peace. May every life touched by this work bring glory to Your name alone. Strengthen their faith when doubts arise, and remind them that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of those who trust in You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne, and it is only by His power that lives are transformed. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to cling to the promises of God. When discouragement comes, and it will, remember that "the one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Keep seeking the Lord in prayer, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

You are not alone in this. The same God who placed this burden on your heart will equip you to carry it. Trust Him, wait on Him, and watch as He moves in ways you cannot yet imagine.

It’s clear this burden runs deep in you, seeing the loneliness and pain around you and wanting to create safety nets so people don’t face those moments alone. When something you’ve poured yourself into gets shut down, and especially when your own role is questioned, that stings. We understand the mix of discouragement and stubborn hope you’re holding onto.

What you’re describing is very much in line with the way the church has often functioned at its best: a people positioned in the middle of a community, available, mobile, and flexible enough to reach someone in crisis before they spiral. You’re not just reacting to a trend, you’re tapping into a real gap. Research shows that young people, employees, and students regularly fall through the cracks, and that early, caring peer connections can make a life-saving difference. Your vision for prevention isn’t a failure; it’s a wise recognition of something that matters deeply to God.

The doors may be shut right now, but that says more about timing and the readiness of others than about the worth of the idea or your calling. While you wait for God to change the climate among decision-makers, maybe you could do something smaller and informal: gather a few trusted individuals to pray specifically about this, or look for a simple, off-the-record way to offer peer connection in your own church or workplace, something leadership doesn’t have to approve. Sometimes a tiny spark can quietly demonstrate what a full program might later become.

Please know we’re standing with you in prayer. Lord Jesus, grant this friend wisdom that goes beyond strategy, and courage mixed with humility. Prepare hearts in leadership to see the value of compassionate, early support. If this vision is from you, clear the path in your perfect time and surround them with partners who listen and act with integrity. In the waiting, let them sense your advocacy and your peace. We entrust the whole thing to your will, knowing you care far more than we do. In your name, amen.

Do not allow the enemy to whisper that a closed door signifies your failure, or that a vision born in prayer dies by man's dismissal. Our Lord Himself was despised and rejected, yet He did not fail in His work. The shutting down of your efforts by senior leaders is but a chapter, not the conclusion. When they ask if this means you have failed in your job, answer with the quiet confidence of faith that you serve first the King whose approval outshines all earthly verdicts. The God who puts a burden upon the heart is the God who carries it through to His own appointed end. You have seen the pain and loneliness, this is no small thing. That sorrow you witnessed was a call, and you answered rightly.

Consider how the Lord is our shelter and our refuge. When the children of Israel groaned under bondage, they cried unto God and He heard them and sent deliverance. Even so, before we could name our need, His mercy went ahead of us. Your own heart, stirred to provide early support before the crisis, is an echo of that Divine prevenience. Does He not declare, "The God of my mercy shall prevent me"? He runs ahead of the calamity; He stations compassion at the gate before the sufferer arrives. If this vision is from Him, and I believe the desire to prevent self-harm and strengthen the weary is most certainly in accord with His heart, then He will make His own interpositions. There are seasons when the Lord shuts a door that He may open a greater one. He does terrible things we do not look for; mountains flow down at His presence, and stony hearts in leadership melt when He wills. Pray that He rend the heavens and come down, not only to open human ears, but to do what no eloquence of yours can accomplish.

Lay hold of this: the Lord accepts your person with the sweet savor of Christ before you bring your offering of service. Your work is not accepted first; you are accepted, and then your work finds its fragrance in Him. This puts an end to self-doubt rooted in merit. You need not measure yourself by the dismissive words of those in authority. The God of my mercy precedes me, and He will be your advocate where your voice is overlooked. He will prepare hearts as surely as He prepared the fish to swallow Jonah or the ravens to feed Elijah. Pray for those who shut you down; bless them, and leave the vindication to Him. If your efforts have been ignored, then it is time for Jehovah to work. Man’s silence is God’s opportunity.

Yet, my friend, act in a clear, businesslike manner as faith always does. Jeremiah bought a field in a doomed land as a testimony to future restoration, why should he do such a strange thing? Because he believed God's promise of return. So you, in a world aching under isolation and despair, are buying a field of hope. Do not cast away your confidence, but wait upon the Lord, and at the right moment present your vision with wisdom, humility, and the courage that rests on the everlasting arms. The right timing and the right partners will come from Him. If the door is shut now, it is not sealed forever. The sealed evidence of your calling will be opened in due season, and what men meant for discouragement, God will use for a platform.

Now labor in prayer, and let your heart be lifted above the fear of man. The sovereign Lord who distributes gifts as He wills is not thwarted by cubicles and committees. He will accomplish His will, not yours alone, nor theirs, but His, and that will is always for hope, healing, early support, and life. To Him be all the glory, for He alone opens the doors that no one can shut, and He will bring beauty from ashes, even from the smoldering disappointment of a rejected proposal. Patiently trust His advocacy; the ultimate decision rests with Him, and He will not let the vision born of His compassion die in the dust. Cast this burden back upon Him daily, and watch for the rending of the heavens.

Consider what happened with Paul and Silas when they were thrust into the inner prison, their backs torn by stripes, their feet fast in the stocks. At midnight they prayed and sang praises to God, and the prisoners listened. Then suddenly an earthquake shook the foundations, every door flew open, and every chain fell loose. Yet no prisoner fled. Paul cried out to the jailer, who would have killed himself, and that very night the jailer and his whole household were washed, baptized, and filled with joy. What looked like a defeat, a silencing, a failure in the eyes of men, God turned into salvation for many.

When your peer support efforts were shut down and your leaders questioned whether you had failed, you felt the weight of that prison. But see: the doors did not open for Paul and Silas to make a name for themselves, but so that a desperate man, blind in his sleep, might be awakened to life. God often permits human doors to slam shut so that His own doors, which no man can shut, may be opened at the right season. The king’s cruelty did not make Peter’s chains a failure; it set the stage for a divine wonder-work. If this vision is truly from Him, He will provide the earthquake in His time.

Do not let discouragement master you. Let mercifulness be your constant companion, for she is a queen who stands near God, ready to ask favor for whomsoever she will. The burden you carry for the lonely, the despairing, the self-harming, is a work of mercy, and mercy is never wasted. She breaks chains, disperses darkness, and the gates of heaven open to her with great confidence. If you cultivate that mercy in your own heart and commend the matter to God with perseverance, you are not ignored. Heaven sees what men overlook.

Therefore, do not cease praying. Remember the widow who by her importunity prevailed, and the friend who at midnight shamed his neighbor into giving bread. Approach God at all times with this request, watching thereunto with all perseverance. Limit not your prayers to certain hours. Pray that He prepares hearts, yes, but pray above all that His will be done. The vision may need refining, the timing may be later than you wish, and the partners may be different from those you first imagined. Yet if the seed is from above, it will bear fruit in its season.

When you are treated as though your voice does not matter, know that Christ Himself was accounted as nothing before the powers of this age, yet His cause triumphed. The jailer first saw only a ruined prison and his own disgrace, but by Paul’s calm word he found eternal life. So your quiet fidelity, your refusal to despair, and your persistent prayer will speak more loudly than any official dismissal. Go on praying, go on watching, and leave the opening of doors to Him who can shake the very earth to let His purposes stand.
