Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for God's continued favor, protection, deliverance, and provision for my children and me as well as wisdom, discernment, and guidance for me in all aspects of my life. I'm also asking for prayers for a successful outcome for my two young children and me in a probate matter regarding my deceased husband's estate. We have an important hearing next week.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your precious children up in prayer. Father God, we ask for Your continued favor to rest upon this family. You are the God who sees, the One who knows every detail of their lives, and we trust in Your perfect provision. Lord, we pray for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield, guarding their hearts, minds, and bodies from all harm and evil. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2). We declare Your deliverance over them, Lord, breaking every chain and snare that seeks to bind them.

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your abundant provision in every area of their lives. You have promised in Your Word, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We stand on this promise, believing that You will meet every financial, emotional, and spiritual need they have. Lord, grant this mother wisdom, discernment, and guidance in all aspects of her life. May she lean not on her own understanding but acknowledge You in all her ways, so that You may direct her paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give her clarity of mind and peace that surpasses all understanding as she navigates the challenges before her.

We lift up the probate matter concerning her deceased husband’s estate, Lord. You are the ultimate Judge, and we ask for a successful and just outcome for this family. May Your will be done in this hearing, and may Your favor go before them. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We pray that the proceedings would be fair, that truth would prevail, and that this mother and her children would receive what is rightfully theirs according to Your will.

Father, we also ask that You would heal any wounds in their hearts from the loss of their husband and father. Comfort them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with Your love and peace, and provide them with godly community to walk alongside them in this season.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in their lives. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that they would experience Your love in a tangible way. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their hearts.

Finally, we want to gently remind you, dear sister, that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, who died for your sins and rose again so that you might have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). If you have already confessed Jesus as Lord, we rejoice with you and pray that your relationship with Him would grow deeper each day.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are holding you and your children in prayer as you walk this tender season, missing your husband, caring for little ones, and now facing a probate hearing. That is a lot to carry, and we want you to know you’re not alone in it.

As next week approaches, we’re asking God to give you a steady heart and a clear mind. The legal details can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure everything out alone. If a trusted friend, attorney, or church member can help you gather what you need or simply sit with you the night before, let them. Even small practical support can make the days ahead feel less heavy. Above all, we’re praying for God’s favor in that courtroom, for truth to be known, for the judge to act justly, and for the outcome to bring stability and provision for your family. We’re also praying for the wisdom and discernment you asked for, not just in this matter but in the daily decisions that come your way as a mom leading her family forward.

You don’t have to have all the answers. The same God who has carried you this far is already in that room and already in your future. So we lift this to Him now.

Lord Jesus, you see this mother and her children. Please wrap them in your protection, supply every need they have, and guide the probate hearing toward a just and peaceful resolution. Give this mom clear discernment and a deep sense of your presence, reminding her that you are her defender and provider. In your name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How well I understand the fear that rises in a widow's heart when she looks upon her fatherless children and considers the future. The dread of calamity, the anxious nights, the trembling at the thought of an uncertain outcome, these are no strangers to the pilgrim who walks by faith and not by sight. Yet here is the divine shortcut with every dread: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.” That little sentence is a hammer to break the head of the serpent. Trust your heavenly Father as you would have your own children trust you. If you, being human, would not betray a child’s confidence, how much more shall your God, who cannot lie, prove faithful to His promises?

Let your prayers ascend with the importunity of the widow in the parable, who though she had no advocate and faced an unrighteous judge, yet by her continual coming she obtained what she sought. If such a wretch could be moved by persistence, how much more shall your cries find swift answer from the Judge of all the earth, whose delight is to care for His own? He has given you leave to come without ceasing; the throne of grace has no usher to bar your way. Plead with Him as the widow did, not for vengeance alone but for provision, for wisdom, for a successful outcome in the probate matter. He is not wearied by your asking, it is His joy to hear the voice of His children.

Remember the widow of Zarephath, how the Lord commanded her, a poor and obscure woman, to sustain His prophet in a time of famine. He who provided meal and oil that failed not, He who has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty, can make a way through these legal entanglements and supply every need of your household. Fear not for your little ones; He who feeds the ravens will not forget the lambs of His flock. Only be attentive to His Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Let the Scriptures be your constant counsel; there you will find wisdom, discernment, and guidance for every step. Let them be the first schoolbook of your children, that they too may learn early to trust the Saviour who receives such as them.

I urge you to hear the Gospel with a solemn and earnest heed. It is no trifle, it is the story of Him who died for sinners, and in that hearing the Spirit works life. That same voice which still cries, “Come unto Me,” calls now to your anxious soul. Come to the tree of life whose leaves are for healing; no flaming sword bars your way. Bring your burden and your children, and cast yourselves upon Him who is the Husband of the widow and Father of the fatherless. Be importunate, be trusting, be hearing, and you shall find that He who has commanded His lovingkindness toward you will not fail to bring the morning.

You bring before God a request for favor and protection, and rightly so, for He is the Father of the fatherless and the Judge of widows. But take care that you seek His favor not merely in outward circumstances, but by becoming a doer of His word. You ask for wisdom and guidance: here is the true wisdom, to trust in the Lord and continue instant in prayer night and day. For she who is a widow indeed, desolate and having no husband, has God in the place of all. He fills up every need with consolation, and your children, if you raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, are not a hindrance but a crown. Teach them to sing praises to Him as the children in the temple cried, “Hosanna,” and He will not despise their voice.

Regarding the probate matter and the hearing next week, commit it entirely to God. Do not put your trust in human advocacy or legal cleverness, for unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. You are an unprotected being, a widow with young children, and for such God takes much care. Their tears have great power; the tears of a widow can open heaven. But see that you yourself are a widow indeed, not living in pleasure, for she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. Cast off idle thoughts, wandering from house to house, and busybody chatter. Instead, give yourself to toils that virtue requires: bring up your children well, show hospitality, wash the feet of the saints. In doing so, you will attract more favor from God and persuade Him to assist you in your struggles.

Mourn not for your husband as one without hope, nor let your heart be troubled about the estate. Did not Paul pronounce your state blessed? If your sins are as scarlet, alms and care for other orphans and widows will whiten them as snow. Let your first faith remain firm, and do not cast it off for worldly cares. The hearing will come and go, but the judgment seat of Christ is eternal. Lay up a store of kindness for yourself, that even now widows you have helped may defend you before God, cutting away many of your sins. And above all, teach your children to seek such gains: to lend to the Lord by mercy to the poor, leaving them a bond that yields interest in heaven, rather than earthly inheritance that perishes.

Therefore, put away superfluous excuses. Be a hearer and doer of the word. If you trust in God as you ought, He will be your protector, your provider, your wisdom, and your deliverance. The adversary may speak reproachfully, but you have an Advocate with the Father. Stand boldly then, and by patient endurance you will appear approved, evincing greater patience, and obtaining the eternal blessings, through the grace and love toward man of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The family caring for its own is a picture of godliness, and you are doing just that. You are living out what is good and acceptable before the Lord by tending to your children and seeking their well-being. That kind of faithful provision is not just duty; it is an act of worship that God sees and honors.

In the midst of the pressing legal matter and the weight of providing alone, do not lose sight of the kind of widow the Lord runs to with special tenderness. She is the one who is truly alone and desolate, who has fixed her trust entirely on God and continues in prayers day and night. That is where the true supply flows. Your hope is not in a favorable hearing, though we pray for that. Your hope is in the God who hears you. As you seek wisdom and discernment, that desperate dependence on Him is your anchor. The children of Israel were trapped between the sea and the charging army, and they cried out in fear. God did not fail them then; He will not fail you now.

Faith is nourished when we soak in what God has already said. The Word of God is the record of His unwavering faithfulness. When you see the walls closing in, go back to the stories of deliverance. Remember how the Lord brought His people out of bondage with a high hand. That same strength is at work for you. The legal proceedings, the estate, the needs of your household, these are not more complex than the chariots of iron that oppressed Israel for twenty years. And yet, when they finally cried out, God raised up deliverance. Let your faith be built not on what you see, but on who He is.

That legal setting you are walking into is a place for earthly judgments and documents, but your standing with God is not a legal contract. You are not approaching a distant judge hoping your paperwork is sufficient. Through faith in Jesus Christ, you have been born into the family of God. You are not a child of the bondwoman, relating to Him through your own efforts or merits. You are a child of promise. You have every right of inheritance, every right to come boldly before the Father and say, "Daddy, Father." The Spirit bears witness that this is your true reality, sealed by adoption.

Do not let unbelief rob this season of its testimony. A whole generation of Israelites forfeited the land because they could not trust God for the very things He had promised to give them. They feared for their children, and those very children were the ones who eventually possessed the land. Your children are watching you trust. They are learning to cry out to the Lord by watching you do it. So let this trial become a teaching ground where you show them that the Lord brought you out with His strength. Make use of what God has given you now, walk into that hearing with a heart that has already entrusted the outcome to Him, and let your soul bless God in advance for the provision He will surely send.
