In times of decision-making, it's crucial to discern God's will from our own desires or the influences of others. We are encouraged by your desire to seek God's direction in this crossroads of your life.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking an environment where you can grow closer to God. It's important to remember that God's will is not always the easiest path, nor is it always clearly marked. But God promises that if we seek Him, we will find Him. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
We also need to pray in Jesus' name. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Let us remember Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider this a calling to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior.
To better understand God's will, spend time in His Word, the Bible. As we study the scriptures, we gain a better understanding of God's heart and His plans for us.
Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."
Prayer is another powerful tool God has given us.
James 1:5 reminds us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
We must also be patient and trust in God's timing. Sometimes, God's will is not for us to move forward with our own plans, but to wait on Him. As Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is seeking Your direction. Lord, grant them the wisdom and discernment to understand Your will for their life. Help them to see past the external influences and to focus on Your voice alone. We ask away anything that may be hindering them in their prayers and give them patience and guidance as they wait for Your direction.
Please, Lord, make the path clear, and give them the courage to walk in it.
