My name is Timothy and I don't no exactly where to begin.

I'm 41 years old and have struggled with homosexuality since I guess I can say, the age of five. I struggle not only with trying not to give into the impulses that come along with this desire but also in trying to simply understand just why is this issue in my particular life/ "What's the greater good accrding to God's will for my life as to why and or what God wants to use this struggle to accomplish?" Especially since I see how much it has compromised the kind of life it seems that most people without this issue have been able to pursue/live be they Christians or non Christians, such as with being able to marry and in experincing intimacy, etc.

I feel that I'm at a point of needing to be a part of an ex-gay residential(live-in)program, but unfortunately at the moment there are absolutely none in existance anywhere in the United States, that I'm aware of that is.

I'm also currently in need of direction for my life in simply in general. I don't no whether or not to work, and if so exactly what, as well as where exactly where I should be living and or where God wants me to be at in life (what state, city, etc?) As well as what church to attend/where at?

I reconize that at my age and as a man, I need to have my own money so that I can establish my life/self/identity as a man all the more, rather than depending on my parents for support.

Thank you for your prayers. - Timothy

Let’s Pray…God I ask in Jesus’ name make Your Will for my life my will for my life. Bless my relationship with You Lord Jesus. Bless our relationship with an indescribable intimacy between You and I. Bless me with an unquenchable, unrelenting, unstoppable desire to know You, love You, respect, and honor You with my life (body, soul, and spirit). Help me to grow in the true knowledge of Your Word. Make me a doer of Your Word and not a hearer only. Let my life be shaped by the Word of God. Bless me to prosper, be in excellent health, as my soul prospers in You. And Lord Jesus all that I have asked You to do for me in this prayer please do the same for the writer of this prayer, every member of my family, and all those connected to me. Bless us with God Esteem and the spirit of Joshua (Moses’ successor). Bless us all with an unquenchable, undeniable, unstoppable love for YOU that can not be ignored or denied. Let our love for You and Your Grace strengthen us all to walk in obedience to Your Word so that we may be pleasing in Your sight and live a success in life in Christ Jesus. Amen!

\o/ Thank You Dearest LORD Jesus for this day and your many blessings! \o/

What you are saying is what I have certainly heard from many others so know that you are not alone in this.

We cannot ever second-guess why people were born with red hair, blue or brown eyes, why they are short in stature or tall, or have freckles, etc. That is just how one is born. It has often been said by many in the know that humanity lies somewhere in the middle of the Gay and Straight spectrum. Some indeed may polarize to one side others to the other. It has been further said that there is an innate bisexual make-up in humanity, so that may account for some people, if they are truly honest about it, having such thoughts, desires, or impulses. Some may do something about them others not so much.

The important thing to know is that what God truly is greatly disappointed with is Promiscuity, not sexual orientation that one is born with, as science has found. While trying to change one's sexual orientation may be extremely difficult to do as it cannot just be "prayed away", or turned on and off at will, e.g., a Straight or Heterosexual person wanting to be something he was not born to be, Gay or Lesbian for instance, and vice-versa with same-gender attracted people, one CAN certainly abstain from promiscuous behavior and activity because that is within the control of each and every person.

I have written a piece on this very subject matter and you may go to my blog, if you wish, to read more about it. It is entitled "Everyone, Without Prejudice, Is Indeed Precious In His Sight!" and it was written primarily due to the suicides occurring with younger people due to their sexual orientation and the taunting, teasing, and physical hurts they have suffered which led many to believe they were outcasts and not worthy of living any longer with such hurts continuing in their life that they decided to unfortunately end it once and for all through suicide. I Love Everyone and it has to be unconditional if one is truly to love as Jesus wanted for us to do. Afterall, He does not expect for us to be in the position to change people from what we think is wrong with them but only to Love them and let their own heart and connection to God do the rest as is appropriate. One more thing to be said about this, we can certainly 'show them the way' but must be always careful in doing more harm than good in the process if what we suggest is unworkable and could cause them harm in some way.

There are many people happily serving the LORD today who have same-sex attractions. Many have even been elevated to bishop status and perhaps even above that. They have found that what is deep within their heart is to serve the LORD, not dwell upon something they cannot change.

Your mention of " .... ex-gay residential(live-in)program, ...." has prompted me to research this matter on the Internet and you may be interested in this webpage and what it says along those lines.

I know there are those who say and perhaps even wish or believe that one could just "pray the gay away" and that with effort it can be done but, well what others caught in that situation are saying speaks volumes to this way of thinking.

May God bless you in reaching out to Him and finding your way through a hostile environment. I will pray that Jesus guides you in finding your rightful place that you are seeking.

PRAYER OF SALVATION FOR THOSE WISHING TO BECOME BORN AGAIN IN JESUS CHRIST (to be said orally): Lord Father, I come to thee as a sinner with contrite heart and ask thee to forgive me of all of my sins. I accept and believe that Jesus Christ is the One and only begotten Son of God. I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross for me and that He resurrected from the dead through God. I promise to serve you in the most holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, I am about to make a marital decision but I ask for your direction. If this is not your will, please, may it never work out; but if it is Lord, make it work. Align me to your will. Amen.
