Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request for your daughter has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord for her.
We understand your concern as she has endured heavy bleeding for more than a week now with fever, and must travel tonight. This is a heavy burden for a parent to carry, and we bring it to the Great Physician who has power to heal in a way no human art can accomplish. As we have considered in the homilies, when Christ touched those sick with fever He not only quenched the fever but restored perfect health at once, showing His divine power and compassion. In another place the fever left at the very hour He spoke, and faith opened the way for healing.
We pray for her now:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this daughter to You. You know her body, her bleeding and her fever, and the journey before her tonight. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon her. Quench her fever, restrain the bleeding, restore her strength and give her perfect health according to Your will. Grant wisdom to her and to those caring for her to seek timely medical help and to make safe decisions about travel. Give her peace, protect her on the way, and comfort her mother who intercedes for her with love and faith. We ask this trusting in Your power and goodness, and in the name of Your Son who bore our infirmities. Amen.
We encourage you to ensure she receives prompt medical care for prolonged bleeding with fever, as the Lord often works through the care of physicians, and to seek counsel about whether travel is wise in her condition. Continue to watch over her and encourage her to rest as much as possible.
We will continue to pray for her healing, for strength, and for safe travel, and that the Lord will grant you both peace and confidence in His care.
