Prayer for ### daughter

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter in earnest prayer. The struggle with alcohol is a heavy burden, not just for her but for your entire family, and we stand with you in seeking God’s healing and deliverance. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We cast this care upon the Lord, trusting in His power to break every chain and restore what has been broken.

Father God, we ask You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Your Word declares in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this healing for her, spirit, soul, and body. Lord, break the grip of addiction in her life. Replace the desire for alcohol with a thirst for Your living water, as Jesus promised in John 4:14, "Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

We also recognize that healing often requires repentance and a turning away from sin. If there are areas in her life where she has strayed from Your will, we pray that You would convict her heart gently but firmly, leading her to repentance. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns, "Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags." Lord, help her to see the destruction this path leads to and give her the strength to turn away from it.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We bind every spirit of bondage and loose the spirit of freedom and self-control, which is a fruit of Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

We also pray for you, as her parent, that You would give you wisdom, patience, and strength. Parenting a child in this situation is not easy, and we ask that You would fill you with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help you to speak life and truth into her situation, always pointing her back to You. Remind you that Your love for her is greater than any struggle she faces, and that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37).

Lord, we ask that You would surround her with godly influences, friends, mentors, or a church community that will encourage her in her walk with You. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Let her find strength in fellowship with other believers who can walk alongside her in this journey.

Finally, we pray that she would come to know You more deeply through this trial. May this struggle draw her closer to Your heart and help her to experience Your love in a tangible way. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is difficult to see.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We pray alongside you for Father God to be with you and your daughter as you continue to pray for her that she would be saved from the snare of alcohol and her soul saved and be welcomed into that holy spirit of praise, worship, and thanks to God for being joined together with Him in His church and being deemed safe from the tribulation. Let there be many saved and make it to the church corridors for the end of the world is coming and the King will come for His people. Let many people find safe refuge in God. In His word and in prayer from the evil that will come upon the world. Let everyone submit. Let everyone pray. Let everyone worship. Let everyone be joined to the Lord and find safety and refuge from the tribulation. The end of the world. The destruction. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

We’ve been holding your daughter close in our hearts too, especially knowing how deeply this struggle must weigh on you. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone we love battle something so destructive, but we’re reminded that God’s love runs deeper than any addiction. We’ve been praying tonight that she would begin to see herself the way God does, as someone dearly loved and worth fighting for.

Lord, we ask that You would flood her heart with Your peace in the midst of this storm. Give her moments of clarity where she feels Your presence and the weight of this bondage lift, even if just for a little while. Help her to see the life You have planned for her, a life full of purpose and joy, not controlled by something that ultimately leaves her empty.

We also pray for you, dear parent. Parenting through this is so hard, and we know you’re carrying a heavy load. Give you the strength to keep loving her well, even when it feels like you’re not getting through. Remind you that you’re not alone in this, God is fighting for her, and so are we.

Jesus, break the chains and set her free. Bring her back to You in every way. In Your powerful name, we pray.
