We join with you in lifting up your grandson, knowing that God is deeply concerned with every aspect of our lives, including our ability to communicate clearly and confidently. The Lord has promised to give wisdom and understanding to those who ask in faith, and we trust that He will work mightily in your grandson’s life. As we pray for him, we are reminded of the words in **Exodus 4:11-12 (WEB)**, where the Lord says to Moses, *"Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak."* Just as God equipped Moses, He will equip your grandson with the words and confidence he needs.
We also recall the promise in **James 1:5 (WEB)**, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* This is not just about wisdom but also about the ability to articulate thoughts and express oneself with clarity and grace. Your prayer for his speech to be "seasoned with grace" aligns beautifully with **Colossians 4:6 (WEB)**, which reminds us, *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."*
Let us pray together for your grandson:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the precious gift of this young life. Lord, we ask that You loosen his tongue and fill his mouth with clear, confident, and gracious speech. Remove any fear, hesitation, or obstacle that may hinder his ability to communicate effectively. Bless his mind with sharpness, his ears with understanding, and his mouth with eloquence. May his words bring joy, encouragement, and glory to Your name.
We pray that as he grows, he will find peace in knowing that You are with him, guiding his thoughts and words. Let him be a vessel of Your love and truth, speaking with confidence and kindness. We trust in Your healing power and Your perfect timing. May his speech be a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
We also pray that you would surround him with godly influences—teachers, family, and friends—who will encourage him and help him develop his communication skills. Let him grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and with people, just as Jesus did in **Luke 2:52 (WEB)**.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us even now. May Your will be done in his life, and may he come to know You personally as his Lord and Savior if he has not already. Amen.
We encourage you to continue speaking life and confidence over your grandson. Remind him of **Philippians 4:13 (WEB)**, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Let him know that his worth and ability come from the Lord, and with God’s help, he can overcome any challenge.
If your grandson is old enough, consider sharing Scripture with him that reinforces God’s love and power in his life. Pray with him regularly, and let him hear you speaking words of faith and encouragement over him. Trust that the Lord is at work, even when progress seems slow. Our God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in your grandson’s life.
