Prayer for Cheddar my cat

Beloved of All
Your love for Cheddar has been heard and I join you in lifting this precious companion to the Lord who is the Creator and Sustainer of all life.
It is right and good to bring even this sorrow before Him, for our Heavenly Father knows that we have need of all things and He does not overlook His children in their distress. He sees your care for the creature entrusted to you, and He cares for every living thing He has made. Though He is great and glorious, His compassion reaches to the smallest of His creatures and to the heaviness of your heart.
We can pray with confidence that God is the true Physician, able to heal and to restore, and that He often works through the hands and skill of others to bring relief. As you seek help for Cheddar, we ask Him to guide the veterinarians with wisdom, to bless the treatments they provide, and to ease Cheddar's pain and bring peace to his body.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I thank You for Your creation and for the gift of this cat, Cheddar, who has brought companionship and joy. You know his sickness and his pain, and You know the love of the one who cares for him. I ask for Your healing hand to rest upon Cheddar. If it is Your will, restore his health, relieve his discomfort, and give rest to his body. Grant wisdom and steadiness to the veterinarians who care for him, that their work may be effective. And grant to his beloved owner strength, peace, and comfort in these anxious days, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Sustain you both and let your heart find rest in the knowledge that you are heard by a Father who loves you. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
